March 16, 20012
His Excellency,
Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
The Presidency
Aso Rock, Abuja
Your Excellency,
INVITATION TO SEND NIGERIAN DELEGATION TO COUNTER TERROR EXPO 2012 ON APRIL 25 -26 AT OLYMPIA IN LONDON
In our recent publication on the subject matter above-mentioned dated 14th February, 2012 we had informed Your Excellency about this earth-shaking event, the biggest Counter Terror Expo in the world in which we are proud to be their media partners.
But after the publication of the above letter to Mr President, we learnt that Nigeria was under arms embargo, so is not allowed to participate in the international expo, which by our reckoning, especially with the raging menace of Boko Haram, Nigeria stands to benefit very immensely from it.
Although we were saddened by the arms embargo on learning about it, we are however, delighted to be told that a licence waiver could be obtained on behalf of Nigeria to enable the Government of Nigeria send its delegation to the expo.
In light of the foregoing, the organisers of the event Counter Terror Expo and Vigilance-The Security Magazine have discussed the possibility of obtaining a temporary waiver from the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to enable the Nigerian contingent attend the Counter Terror Expo in London, United Kingdom.
But before putting in a waiver application for Nigeria, we would very much appreciate it, if your Excellency could authorise a list bearing the names and total number of the Nigerian representatives to be forwarded to us without further delay to enable us pursue the temporary waiver application as soon as possible.
I thank you for your time from a full heart, while waiting to hear from Your Excellency very shortly.
Yours sincerely,
JOHN ODEY ADUMA
