Vigilance can reveal that Doyenz, a leading provider of cloud-based recovery services has embarked on a series of events to help small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) become more informed on the value of cloud-based disaster recovery.
According to a Doyenz source, at the conferences SMBs, managed service providers and IT service providers will have the opportunity to connect with industry experts to discuss leveraging the cloud beyond back-up and storage for the fast recovery of critical business applications.
"While disasters can strike companies of any size, SMBs are especially vulnerable to the devastation that a failed application can cause," said Eric Webster, chief revenue officer for Doyenz. "This series of events will help customers maximize their investment in the cloud, and provide insight into what factors they should consider when looking for a disaster recovery solution."
Vigilance learnt that Doyenz' s co-founder and chief technology officer, Przemek Pardyak, will also speak at the Robert Half Technology / Seattle Business Journal IT Executive Breakfast and Panel. The session, entitled: What Keeps IT Executives Up @ Night? will take place on November 9th from 8- 9:45 a.m.
Joining Pardyak on the panel are representatives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Perkins Coie, InfoSpace, and Avanade. Vigilance also learnt the discussion will highlight the biggest challenges faced by IT execs as well as tips for how they can stay competitive in the future.
Also, in London, Doyenz has a major launch in the UK and would be briefing the IT press and analyst community today and tomorrow ahead of that announcement.
Vigilance’s Infosecurity Team gathered that they would also like to discuss several key announcements due before the end of the year aimed at strengthening its offering to the UK audience:
• A new UK data centre launch to ensure that its business continuity service meets regulatory and performance constraints consistent with the needs of UK businesses.
• Establishment of a new distribution and channel community to help SMB's benefit from a local cloud and corresponding service delivery partners across the country.
• Technical overview of how the innovative new solution delivers true business continuity instead of just file based backup in a highly cost effective model for both physical and virtual servers.
Eric Webster, Chief Revenue Officer, along with the co-founders of the newly appointed distribution partner would offer a briefing this morning at the St. Martin’s Lane Hotel in London.
The briefing will also include a candid assessment of the current business continuity market opportunity, competitive landscape and roadmap for one of the fastest growing US cloud services as it establishes itself in the UK, and ultimately Europe during 2012.
