Dreieich: Germany is enjoying great popularity not only among tourists, but also diplomats and representatives from other states feel right at home here. So it happens that every day hundreds of state visits are taking place.
But not all visits are in such a large scale as the visit of the Pope. Nevertheless, the safety of the traveling state guests must be guaranteed at all times. "Of course, especially high-ranking representatives of other States such as a President will be accompanied by their own security staff, including the related equipment. Nevertheless, the safety responsibility remains with the host country and its security forces," said Mathias Iser, Director of Technology at the Imtradex Hör-/Sprechsysteme GmbH.
Considered to be particularly critical, is especially public appearances of high dignitaries and officials in front of potentially larger crowds. It can arise to a confusing situation in very few seconds, which is always a threat to the "protected person".
"If something serious happens in such situations during the official state visit, it may result in diplomatic discord between the host country - i.e. Germany - and the other states involved," Mathias added.
Iser demonstrates, why the use of the latest communication technologies to protect the people have become indispensable.
Established is mainly the covert communication, so third parties don’t see all the security measures that are taken. It serves mainly the co-ordination among the security forces, and presupposes naturally the right equipment in form of hear and talk systems, such as headsets.
Example is the OnGuard Bluetooth solution of Imtradex; it connects its unobtrusive headsets wirelessly to the mobile phone carried by the bodyguard. Thanks to a wireless send button, even the transmission of the communication can be hidden. However, the recently available OnGuard II-GSM, is also a good choice for the security industry and authorities.
The solution, which is considered the "core piece of discreet communication", is with its compact dimensions of 50 mm x 39 mm x 14 mm, and only about 60 grams almost invisible, and can be stored in the interior or exterior pockets.
Also, in another development Imtradex will be presening the new Aurelis Bluetooth hand microphone for digital radio from the 22nd to the 24th of November 2011, at the 11th PMRExpo taking place in Cologne.
It is the leading branch meeting place for professional mobile radio (PMR and Trunked Radio) as well as command and control centres. As a specialist in Hear and Talk solutions, Imtradex Hör-/Sprechsysteme GmbH will be on site to present the latest products from the area of digital radio, to the 2,900 executives and visitors in Cologne. On stand A05 in Hall 10.2, the recently developed Aurelis series will be in focus. It is a Speaker microphone designed as accessory for mobile radios, ideally suited for the operation of the police and rescue services.
"The PMRExpo is an ideal platform for us to reach our target groups – authorities and organizations with security tasks, police, fire department and rescue services – and to achieve them we introduce tailored solutions to their activity areas", said Ralf Kudernak, Managing Director of Imtradex Hör-/Sprechsysteme GmbH.
The big issue at the booth of Imtradex, will be the theme of digital radio, currently associated with gradually replacing the analogue radio. This is followed by the presentation of the recently developed Aurelis series that exploit the user in task forces and security areas with the full possibilities of the new digital standards and at the same time an ultimate comfort.
The innovative, 180 grams lightweight hand-held microphones is by standard issued with a send button, microphone, speaker, emergency call button, three-level volume control and a programmable LED (functions depend on the digital radio used). In addition, they have an additional connection for external audio equipment and a very robust, splash- and dust-proof plastic housing.
Proved to be particularly interesting in practical use by police and rescue services is the new Aurelis with Bluetooth functionality, which will be shown to the public for the first time at the show. The unit comes completely without cable connection to the radio, which increases the ease of use even further. In addition to the hand-held microphones Aurelis, Imtradex will present other communications solutions at the PMRExpo.
