LONDON, UK: Lieberman Software Corporation has announced an interoperability/go to market partnership with RSA, the Security Division of EMC. The interoperable solution combining Lieberman Software’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) product, Enterprise Random Password Manager™ (ERPM), and RSA’s award winning Identity Management and Governance (IMG) platform will help organizations manage, control and enforce both privileged and end user access to applications, systems and data across the enterprise and the cloud, all in a single unified platform.
Managing privileged users and auditing their access is no longer optional, based on regulatory compliance requirements and as evidenced by the spate of recent major data breaches, many of which occurred due to misuse of privileged access. What has become apparent is that managing and governing end user access separately from privileged access can open up organizations to risk, create security gaps and deprive organizations of a complete view of identity context for access-related decisions.
With this interoperability, organizations can unify their end user and privileged user access policies and controls from a single, centralized platform. The interoperable solution is design to give organizations visibility to all identities and access, in order to make informed access decisions within a proper access governance framework, helping to enable them to appropriately evaluate and manage identity-related risks.
“We are honored to continue our history of innovation and announce the next phase of platform interoperability, as well as the beginning of our joint partnership with RSA,” said Richard A Weeks, VP Channel & Business Development at Lieberman Software. “For the first time, organizations may use RSA Identity Management and Governance (formerly known as Aveksa) to configure and control access of both regular end users and privileged IT users, under one powerful and comprehensive identity governance platform.”
“RSA continues to innovate and be a leader in the Identity Governance and Administration market,” said Prashant Darisi, Senior Director of IAM Products, at RSA. “As privileged credentials are a primary attack surface for major data breaches, the interoperability of a PAM solution helps eliminates what were heretofore ‘silos’ in enterprise identity management. This is critical to helping our customers significantly decrease IT risk, provide segregation of duties and meet regulatory compliance requirements, while simultaneously increasing operational efficiency.”
