The RAF Voyager that has been converted to provide travel for the Royal Family and Government Ministers whilst continuing to perform air-to-air refuelling in support of RAF and allied aircraft, is now ready to enter service.
The Voyager which is based on the Airbus A330, is set to transport the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and the Defence Secretary to the NATO Summit in Warsaw on 8 July. The revamp was announced as part of the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review with the aim of providing a better value for money way of transporting Ministers rather than the current use of charter aircraft.
