Lastline arms general public with top tips for IoT security

LONDON, UK: Cyber security professionals are fearful of their home entertainment systems leaking their data, according to a new Lastline survey carried out at Infosecurity Europe this month that took into account the views of over 300 professionals. The same study showed a great concern for security risks related to Internet of Things (IoT) and connected devices on the whole and found that respondents also viewed healthcare devices (such as wearables) and connected cars as top risks. Interestingly, children’s toys came lower on the list of security concerns.

Vissensa has announced that it has signed a multiyear agreement with the International Bar Association (IBA) to host and support key aspects of the Association’s computer infrastructure in one of its highly secure UK data centres.

The project included the migration of the IBA’s existing computer equipment to the new data centre location and included the introduction of cloud-based local and remote backup solutions to support the growing user community within the IBA supported by Vissensa.

Large sports teams and large sporting events are attractive to cyber criminals on several levels. Not only are they highly visible, and present large targets of opportunity for criminals who may be looking to earn a name for themselves, teams also amass large repositories of valuable performance and health stats and analytics on players and games.
