OEB Global 2017: Call for “More Flexible Education Systems” and Training for Teachers

Education systems will need to be much more flexible, in order to cope with the demands of an age of increasing uncertainty. And teachers must be trained not only to teach, but also to redesign their institutions to keep up with the pace of change in society. These are just two of the recommendations set to be made by education and technology experts, taking part in OEB Global 2017, Europe’s largest conference on technology assisted learning and training.

Royal Navy ship set for Australia, Defence Secretary reveals

Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson has confirmed that HMS Sutherland will visit Australia in the New Year as part of her Asia Pacific deployment.
The Defence Secretary had announced that the ship would sail to the Asia Pacific whilst addressing the crew on-board in Devonport on Friday, and has now provided further information of the deployment.

SecureLink Finds Organisations Failing to Implement Basic Security Practices

68% of Organisations do not encrypt sensitive data

London (UK): SecureLink has warned that organisations are failing to implement the most basic security practices to keep their networks safe and data secure. From its assessments of 100 organisations 68% were discovered not encrypting sensitive data, despite the fact that access to this capability is now widely available. Given that one of the biggest concerns organisations have is the protection of intellectual property or regulated customer data, this is incredulous.
