Across the country, there has been a clear push for the adoption of greener, alternative forms of travel, such as walking and cycling, to relieve the pressure on public transport routes. In fact, the UK Government recently announced a £338 million package to boost cycling and walking uptake across the country, including funding to build hundreds of miles of high-quality cycle lanes.

The Cycle Segregation Unit has been developed to help local authorities, specifiers and highways professionals deliver on this campaign by creating safer and more sustainable travel infrastructure, as well as encouraging a more active approach to commuting in local communities.

No-cost cybersecurity resources from KnowBe4 to help IT admins bolster their security awareness training efforts

LONDON, U.K.: KnowBe4 launched a resource kit in recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October.

KnowBe4’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month Resource Kit contains a guide for the kit and campaign ideas to help IT admins get started, a weekly training planner, two free training videos, infographics, tip sheets and desktop backgrounds. The two free training videos – “Your Role: Internet Security and You” and “2021 Social Engineering Red Flags” – are available in a variety of different languages.

Infosecurity Europe announces ExCeL London as its new ‘home’ for 2022

Increased space, accessibility and versatility will enable organisers to scale up the event and enhance the customer experience for both exhibitors and visitors

Richmond, Surrey, UK: RX (Reed Exhibitions) has announced that from next year ExCeL London will be the new venue for Infosecurity Europe, Europe’s number one information security event. The show will run from Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 June 2022. The change of venue from London Olympia will enable the organisers to continue to evolve and grow the exhibition and conference programme to keep pace with the ever-increasing importance of cybersecurity on the global stage.

HOLOGRAPHY CONTINUES TO GET IN ON THE ACT

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued draft guidance on the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA)* to help identify and trace drug products in the supply chain. Dr Paul Dunn, chair of the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) considers these and argues that a product identifier initiative by itself cannot be considered an authentication solution under ISO 12931.
