London, UK: KPMG and Beazley are the proud sponsors of this year’s Most Inspiring Women in Cyber awards, hosted by the IT Security Guru. In its second year, the awards are an opportunity to shed a light on some of the remarkable women working within the industry; women who are paving the way for other girls and women considering a career within the field. Nominations for the awards are now open, and the public is invited to put themselves, or a colleague forward.
“We are delighted to be launching the Most Inspiring Women in Cyber awards once again, alongside such renowned industry leaders as KPMG and Beazley. The inaugural event in October 2020 was a great success, but we are looking forward to making it bigger and better this year!” said Yvonne Eskenzi, co-founder and director of Eskenzi PR & IT Security Guru. “More importantly, we are excited to uncover some new, or as of yet unrecognised, names of individuals who are making a positive contribution to the cybersecurity industry.”
“KPMG is a fervent supporter of diversity and nowhere is that more important than in the burgeoning sectors of technology and cyber. There is a huge amount of talent to be unlocked from focussing on widening diversity across the cyber community which not only benefits business, but also the wider UK economy” said Matthew Martindale, Partner, Cyber Security at KPMG. “We are thrilled to be a part of the Most Inspiring Women in Cyber awards this year! It’s an occasion to highlight the phenomenal achievements of women within the industry and hopefully to inspire the next generation of female talent too.”
“We are very proud to be spotlighting some of the women making waves in the cybersecurity industry. By highlighting these incredible individuals, sharing their stories and their journeys, we hope it will inspire and encourage more women to consider growing their careers in this sector,” said Paul Bantick, Head of Global Cyber & Technology, Beazley.
Nominations can be submitted through the IT Security Guru website and will remain open until Monday, the 11th of October. An esteemed panel of judges will then review the submissions and narrow the list down to the Top 20 finalists, each of whom will be profiled on the cybersecurity news site. Judges include:
