Gill Hicks: Honorary degree recipient
Vigilance can report that a survivor of the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London has been honoured by Kingston University and St George’s, University of London. Gill Hicks, who lost both legs in the disaster, was made an honorary doctor of science by the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education in recognition of her determination to overcome her injuries and her work raising awareness of disability.
