Inside sales management specification published
As part of an overarching sales strategy, the inside sales management (ISM) methodology which forms the basis for PAS 8401 Implementing an inside sales management methodology – Guide, can help organizations achieve their B2B sales goals. It is the first guidance of its type which not only helps an organization set up an ISM facility, but also guides organizations on how to manage outsourced ISM facilities.
PAS 8401 was sponsored by BRIDGE International Corp. and was developed through consensus with input from such organizations as Accenture Japan Ltd, Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and many more. It provides guidance on the design and implementation of the ISM covering all relevant inside sales activities (ISAs), as part of an overall sales strategy. This includes selling through use of all methods for communication at a distance, including: telephone (inbound and outbound); internet chat (inbound and outbound); video conferencing and web-based software. It does not address management of face-to-face sales however.
