On 1st May at 10:00am, Dr. Cole will offer a presentation at the InfoSec Europe “Keynote Theatre” which will provide a candid view of the current state of the industry and emerging threat landscape. In addition, Dr. Cole is available to the press and analyst community for one-to-one interviews during InfoSecurity Europe, with latitude to discuss a wide range of topics including his work in the UK with SANS Institute, the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) and recent briefings with organisations within the Critical National Infrastructure, National Technical Authority for Information Assurance (CESG), National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and the Counter Terrorism Security Advisor (CTSA) network.
Dr. Cole can also discuss the rise of “Cyber Insurgency” citing examples in Estonia, Syria, Libya and North Korea where physical war intersects with cyber insurgency used as a soft retaliation instead of a mismatched and potentially futile counter attack, an increasingly challenging issue with recent events in the east of Europe. Dr. Cole is also an authority how and why organisations are being compromised and what can be done to protect against the advanced, emerging threats.
Dr. Cole is an industry-recognised security expert with over 20 years of hands-on experience, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from NYIT and a Doctorate from Pace University.
