SANS dedicated Digital Forensics event returns to Prague this October. The eight-day event begins on the 6th of October with the 4rd annual European Digital Forensics and Incident Response Summit (DFIR) which is then followed by four of SANS’ essential six-day forensics training classes.
SANS Forensics Prague 2013 will see the European debut of a brand new course, FOR526: Windows Memory Forensics In-Depth taught by Jess Garcia and Jesse Kornblum. This In-Depth course is critical for any serious investigator who wishes to tackle advanced forensic and incident response cases.
SANS Prague will also provide an opportunity to study FOR508: Advanced Computer Forensic Analysis and Incident Response with Rob Lee. The course has been rewritten to reflect the continued threat from sophisticated attacks against nearly every type of organization. The completely updated FOR508 addresses today's incidents by providing real-life, hands-on response tactics.
FORENSICS 610: Reverse-Engineering Malware will be taught by Lenny Zeltser, a GIAC Security Expert (GSE), Senior Faculty Member at the SANS Institute and Incident handler at the Internet Storm Center. SANS Prague represents a rare opportunity to learn from Zeltser, the primary author of For610, as it is only the second time he has led the course in Europe.
Finally, Chad Tilbury will lead the ever-popular FOR408 Computer Forensic Investigations, Windows In-Depth giving students the chance to master windows forensics and learn critical analysis techniques.
“This specialist forensics event provides a unique opportunity to learn from and network with SANS experts as well as other leading minds in the international digital forensics and incident response community” explains says Matt Anderson, Director, EMEA SANS Institute, “Our inaugural event last year was a tremendous success and based on early registrations numbers, 2013 looks likely to sell out as well.
