A spokesperson for the giant IT company said Huawei's Integrated IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) solution is a comprehensive portfolio of solutions that cover a range of transformation scenarios from evolving to Voice Over LTE (VoLTE), and deliver business communications solutions to exposing capabilities through Communication as a Service (CaaS), adding based on professional services and proven by large scale roll-outs, Huawei's integrated IMS solutions help meet operators' needs at different stages of their transformation. Huawei successfully implemented 149 IMS networks for 93 operators at the end of Q1 2013, with the top nine IMS deployments each now serving more than one million subscribers.
The spokesperson revealed leveraging its common core platform and common application servers: Telephony, RCS and Unified Communications, the solutions inherit all fixed and mobile voice services, and allow them to progress to unified communications and CaaS. For example, the Huawei VoLTE solution covers the entire mobile transformation journey with maximum investment protection and an improved time-to-market.
He said in the CaaS field, Huawei's integrated IMS solution enables telcos to open their basic communications capabilities upwards, with simple Application Programming Interface (API) exposure, and downwards, through a common Software Development Kit (SDK) broadcast to third parties, therefore contributing to greater revenues and expanded user bases for operators.
