London: IT risk management is a critical component of enterprises’ overall business risk profiles. Reflective of this, ISACA’s Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) credential is growing rapidly and is recognized as one of the highest-paying IT certifications in the Foote Partners’ IT Skills and Certifications Pay IndexTM (ITSCPI).
To help IT professionals prepare for the CRISC exam—a prerequisite for earning the CRISC certification—global IT association ISACA is offering the new CRISC Online Review Course. The course includes a 300-question pool of items that includes questions, answers and explanations. Candidates can take sample exams with randomly selected questions, and view the results by job practice, allowing for concentrated study in particular areas.
CRISC helps position IT professionals for career growth by linking IT risk management to enterprise risk management. Since it was established in April 2010, more than 16,000 professionals across job functions including IT, security, audit and compliance have earned the CRISC designation. Of these professionals, more than 1,100 are CIOs, CISOs, and chief compliance, risk and privacy officers. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is needed to obtain the designation.
“The growth of CRISC reflects a need for experienced risk and control professionals who can partner with the business to manage risk that affects all areas of the enterprise,” said Allan Boardman, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CA (SA), ACA, CISSP, international vice president of ISACA and chair of ISACA’s Credentialing and Career Management Board. “ISACA is offering the CRISC Online Review Course to help CRISC exam candidates study at their own pace and customize exam preparation to meet their needs.
