UK human-interface pioneer showcases its patented tech at US extended reality (XR) show
London, UK – Augmented World Expo (AWE) US 2022 took place in Santa Clara, California, from 01 June to 04 June. UK tech pioneer TG0 exhibited its next-gen, human-machine interface technology, including demonstrating its revolutionary, button-free controller for VR gaming and the metaverse.
TG0 is the London-based start-up harnessing its patented technology to turn everyday conductive polymer materials into touch and pressure-sensitive surfaces. Incorporated in 2015, TG0 is the blueprint for a young and dynamic 21st-century tech company. Now numbering 35 employees, with an average age of 32, including 25% under the age of 25, its team counts four PhDs, 12 MScs, two MBAs, and three Exceptional Talent Visa Holders.
Intellectual property is power in the tech world, and TG0 continues to grow in strength. It currently has three patents granted – including EP20708594, which covers pressure mapping incorporating patterned flat conductive materials, a sandwiched suspensive separation layer, unique scanning and firmware design, and advanced algorithms to detect multi-location pressure mapping – and a further seven entries going through certification. These advances in button-free surfaces offer an enormous number of uses in today's – and tomorrow's – world, and TG0 already has partnerships with auto OEMs and suppliers and global consumer brands.
AWE 2022 will see TG0 demonstrate its technology through its etee brand and the ground-breaking eteeController. Available to pre-order pre-Christmas delivery, the Controller is etee’s first product and the first of its kind finger-tracking controller. Powered by TG0’s proprietary technology, the eteeController allows the user to control VR and development projects without gloves, cameras, or other encumbering equipment. Lightweight and intuitive, the controller delivers 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) and is SteamVR compatible.
