• As someone who has spent the last 30 years plus to investigate the politico-socio-econo-geo-religio-eco-cultural problems of the Northern States of Nigeria, it not only troubles very greatly that despite the innumerable and multi-faceted problems of the North, the whole of the last 23 years have been spent discussing the now endemic insecurity (terror/religious wars), extremism/Islamism/jihadism, banditry, IDP, bestial cum extreme poverty, pastoralists terrorism, rape, nepotism coupled with its deliberate militarisation of the Nigerian state) in that half of the Nigerian state to the utter neglect or abandonment of other equally very worrisome problems of the Sharia North such as:
• (Impending) famine of biblical proportion
• Desertification
• Drought
• Tree planting – just how many trees has Sada planted since his enthronement in 2006?
• Out of school children
• Work-eunuch/able-disabled youth (idle children and youth)
• Growing population of Almajiri now heading to 15 million as against the official 2.5 million
• Fast disappearing fadamas (traditional agriculture)
• Climate change
• The deleterious effects of the mega dams on the Northern Nigerian ecology – Tiga and Challawa Gorge dams, etc.
• North sitting on a hydrological edge
• Desiccation of the river systems
• Shrinking wetlands – Nguru-Hadeijia, including the lake Chad
• Decreasing fishery activities
• Wildfires/bush fires
• Crimes and drugs in the North – terrorism, banditry, armed robbery, kidnappings/abductions, killer shepherds, paedophilic activities, prostitution, etc. But the problem with the North is that it’s always in denial – all these are according to the North rumours carried by the so-called “pagan” Southerners and the NOKBEKWARANS!
• Sand dunes/dust bowls
• Windbreaks nearing zero level
• Mega dams acting as catalysts for the ‘desert fires’
• Intractable flooding
• Serious border porosity
• Unimaginable poverty level, making people to chew their teeth and drink water
• Imminent invasion of locusts – when locusts invade the North, what preparations are already in place?
• Diseases of all kinds
• Lack of potable wate which makes human being and animals drink water from mudufil
• The general zero level of investments due to pervasive insecurity
• High level of unemployment
• Scavenging and begging amongst children and young persons as a way of life.
• The menace of Hisbah, who in their characteristic officiousness have been violating people’s rights, especially those of Christians.
• Almost non-existent apprenticeship programmes
• The general lack of interest in Western education, especially since the mad philosophy/ideology of BOKO HARAM.
• The disappeared Baga fishing outpost
• Motherless and fatherless babies
• Indiscriminate and intractable population growth and its obvious (Malthusian catastrophe upon the North) consequences on the North and the nation
• Underaged parents
• Underaged/forced marriage.
• Girl-child education
• Sharp drop in school enrolment
• IDPs
• The absence of scientific livestock faming based on scientific research and global best practice to feed the millions of its people.
• Pervasive famine in the North
• Endemic drug culture in the North. Despite the fact that every nook and cranny of the North, including unlikely places are a washed with drugs, hypocritical and self-righteous North as ever is in denial, because in the very hate-filled warped mind of the North for the so-called “pagan” South, all evils come from the South!

NORTH (Fulani, Hausa, Kanuri and the Shuwa Arabs) AND THE SHAME OF LOCAL CHAMPIONS WITHOUT INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE

The South have a lot of international figures, in virtually all fields of human endeavour, but how many Nigerian citizens from the North have on their own efforts/talents/handwork/intelligence brought the Nigerian state international diadems/honours/awards, unprodded by the Government and through nepotism and hereditary privilege to become UN representatives?

I mean how many Ben Nwonwu, Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Chris Okigbo, J.P.Clark, Buchi Emechetta, Flora Nwakpa, Niyi Osundare, Ben Okri, Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna, J.J. Okocha, John Fashanu, Kalu Nwankwo, Dick Tiger, Hogan ‘Kid’ Bassey, Ike Ibeabuchi, James Oyebola, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Power Mike, Power Uti, Obisia Nwakpa, Emeka Anyaoku, Adeoye Lambo, Adesina, Chimamandi Adichie, Phil Emeagwali, Pius Okigbo, Sam Aluko, etc, etc?

Yet the North which since 1960 has been stuck in the 6^th century, where to in the last seven years, TRUCK BUHARI has journeyed all Nigerians, including the children of the future generations of Nigeria, whereupon they delight in ONLY retrogressive and medievalist discourses – jihad, sharia, ruga, zangoism, hijab, Niqab, Hisbah, moon sighting and not moon exploration, cultural imperialism, traditional pastoralism rather than modern and scientific pastoralism, territorial expansion, ultra-conservative and archaic brand of religion (Islamism, extremism, wahabism, Salafism, Shiitism, jihadism, worrisome concern for the after – Aljanah and 72 wives; and such bestiality and gruesomeness as beheading, killer shepherds (herdsmen killers), mass wedding, uncontrolled procreation, Almajirism, Hisbahnism, irresponsible breeding, emphasis on Madrassas,  colonialism, total conquest of the indigenous South and the Nokbekwarans, blasphemy, never any talk about researches, development.

But without their unparalleled parasitism and leeching on the state, where will the Fulani, the Hausas, the Kanuris and Shuwa Arabs be? This over dependence of theirs on Governments are at the roots of the nation’s multi-faceted problems.

This abysmal level of parasitism explains why they remain in governments – in and out of governments until the end of their days in the here, especially their lack of imagination and inability to think out of the box – outside governments and perpetual political appointments.

A wife of Rilwanu Lukeman, former Minister many times over in many Departments in Governments was wont to be asking him having been embarrassed by his continuous remain in Governments: “Are you going to die in office?”

They live off Governments – on freebies from births to the graves and marry many wives and have hundreds kids whose names they hardly know or remember because of their sheer outlandish number - all at the expense of the toiling masses of Nigerians, particularly the Niger Delta wherefrom cometh the pots of gold to feed their outlandish lifestyles and their families.

This very grossly undisciplined way of bringing children into the world would make fathers of such embarrassingly very large families, again at the expense of the toiling masses of Nigeria, ask their children thus, especially when such children would greet them: “Whose son/daughter are you?”

Embarrassed, these children usually struggle to describe their mothers, sometimes to no avail, as their so-called fathers too will struggle to catch the image of their so-called mothers being described to this very irresponsible father of theirs.

For example, at a time Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was lecturing the Nigerian people, particularly the Fulanis, the Hausas, the Kanuris and the Shuwa Arabs about having a manageable family, Junaid Mohammed was reported by some media in Nigeria as saying, Mr Lamido has 26 children!

 How about that grossly irresponsible and primitive Federal Legislator -
