This year’s Paris Air Show, kicks off today, June 20 at Le Bourget airport lasting till June 26 thereby affording once again, Thales a unique platform to showcase their equipment, systems and service offerings.
Vigilance learnt Thales at the 2011 Paris Air Show will demonstrate the following:
- · Thales is a key industrial partner in aerospace and has a crucial role to play in meeting the challenges of the new, more integrated approach to defence and security, thanks to its end-to-end involvement in systems and equipment, on the ground and in the air;
- · Thales, with its diverse product portfolio, dual technologies experience and international presence, has the ability to deliver innovative solutions, systems and services to short lead times, to meet the broadest possible needs of its aerospace customers, both civil and defence;
- · Thales has a long-term vision and ability to address the complex strategic issues in aerospace, based on its dual civil-defence industrial expertise;
- · The Group, with its international stature, is ideally positioned to play a major role in French-British cooperation in defence, and is a European and global leader in aerospace.
Our International Exhibitions Team learnt Thales’s stand will be divided into five principal zones, namely:

It is gathered in addition to the stand, there will be outdoor exhibits such as:
- · a full-scale Ground Master 200 ground-based radar,
- · a full-scale RECO NG POD, airborne reconnaissance observation system opening the era of full-digital and real-time reconnaissance,
- · a full-scale model drone from the UK Watchkeeper programme, for which the company is prime contractor,
- · and an ECS (Engagement Control Station), key solution to improve employment of Air Defence firing units.
The Paris Air Show which starts as from 20-26 June, 2011 will be open to the general public from 24-26 June.
