Since the 9/11, 7/7 and other heightened terrorist activities in and around the world, key players of the global security industry have risen to the security challenges with lightning speed to counter terror and the general threats to the global security. And there is no sector in which these responses to counter terror and threats to global security have been swifter and glaring than in the Aviation, Maritime and the supply chain.
Worried by these current threats to global security and the security issues facing the Aviation, Maritime, and the supply chain, Transport Security Expo has planned a two-day conference and exhibition to hold between 14th and 15th September, 2010 at the Olympia Conference and Exhibition Centre in London.
The earth shaking-event will attract key stakeholders and leading industry players from all over the world, amongst which is the International Consultants on Targeted Security, Europe (ICTS), which of course is the largest provider of aviation security in Europe, and incidentally, the Aviation Conference sponsor. ICTS Europe, with its many years of unrivalled excellent service records globally speaking, boasts of a broad range of pioneering technology security solutions in aviation, immigration, training, assessment and security management.
Vigilance learnt that its Associate company, MUSC (Maritime & Underwater Security Consultants), global leader in its own right in maritime risk solutions will be showcasing a scaled-down version of their 24/7 Operations Room aimed at helping ship owners, operators, managers and masters transit the world’s dangerous waters safely.
Commenting on ICTS’ participation at the forthcoming global event, Ms Patricia Grant-Wilson, Public Relations Consultant at ICTS revealed that the ICTS canine division will be providing explosive protective security services delivered by their UK search teams.
Ms Grant-Wilson said: “ICTS canines have the ability to operate efficiently in the challenging environments of aviation and marine sectors. The RASCargO system provides a screening capability for cargo, trucks and containers for the presence of explosives, drugs and contraband. DiagNose part of ICTS Europe canine offering provides a full range of specialist disciplines in France, Holland, Israel and South Africa.”
Ms Grant-Wilson added: “DetAct ‘Behavioural Detection Methodology’ programme is an ICTS Europe solution to train enhanced awareness for security personnel and acts as an additional layer to the security mix in deterrence and prevention of hostile recognisance and terrorist activity. Both RASCargO & DetAct will be showcased in workshops on day two of the event.”
Grant-Wilson said further: “ICTS Europe continues to demonstrate its ability to deliver enhanced security solutions with greater benefits to clients operating in the global transport infrastructure space.”
