ICTS UK has won the highly competitive and prestigious Historic Royal Palaces contract for the provision of security warding services.
Vigilance reliably learnt that the contract whose terms include the provision of access control, bag searching (supported by specialist search dogs), and general assistance to the operations team at the Tower of London including the Yeoman Warders will commence on 1st November 2010.
The Tower of London is a world heritage site, attracting over two million visitors per year. Historic Royal Palaces, the charity responsible for the Tower, receives no funding from the government or Crown and depends on support from visitors, members, donors, volunteers, and sponsors.
Paul Jacomb, the newly appointed General Security Director at ICTS said, "The award of this prestigious contract is a major step towards establishing ICTS as a leading supplier of security services to the UK market. The Tower of London demands the highest of standards, and the ICTS approach to delivering integrated solutions, combining effective manpower, specialist canine services, and cutting edge technology we believe was a key differentiator in the selection process"
ICTS is the largest supplier of security services to the aviation industry in Europe. More recently, it has embarked on a Group strategy to expand into other sectors, where it believes the knowledge and expertise gained (in the demanding aviation industry) is transferable into high profile environments with similar requirements.
