G4S Transport and Borders, the UK’s leading private security company, has made it again having successfully been re-awarded a three - year contract with Northern Rail.
Vigilance reliably learnt the contract will start on 1st September 2010 and is the key foundation of our rail business.
Northern Rail is the UK’s largest train operating company, covering the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humber, and East Midlands regions. Northern Rail provides 2500 local and regional train services every weekday and serves a population of 15 million people.
Under the terms of the contract, G4S will continue to provide customer service and revenue protection services such as, issuing and checking the validity of rail tickets, assisting with customer service, as well as continuing to protect Northern Rail’s revenue by managing potential fare evasion.
G4S has aligned its working practices with Northern Rail’s company culture and core values; this enables both businesses and staff to work productively together to meet both companies’ objectives.
