Global IT in association with ISACA will share guidance on cloud computing security challenges at its free virtual seminar on 8 November. IT professionals will learn from industry leaders and network with peers from around the world, all without leaving their desks, at the event titled Cloud Security: How Safe is the Cloud?, on Tuesday, 8 November 2011, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CST).
“Cloud computing is a cost-effective technology that is becoming more widely used, but it poses some business concerns that enterprises need to address,” said Ken Vander Wal, CISA, CPA, international president of ISACA. “ISACA’s virtual conference will help attendees successfully tackle the security concerns associated with cloud adoption, and arm them with valuable approaches to this advantageous technology.” At ISACA’s virtual conference on cloud security, sponsored in part by Microsoft and Intel/McAfee, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in the following sessions:
•Meet the Cloud API: The New Enterprise Control Point—Intel will decompose the cloud broker’s role and how cloud API management opens new doors to connect smartphone applications, browsers, middleware, legacy apps and other HTTP applications. •Securing Microsoft’s Cloud Infrastructure—This session will discuss how the information security management system and framework was built and operates.
•The Tip of the Iceberg: Identity and Access Management for the Cloud—This session will examine technical and organizational challenges and how enterprises control provisioning, access, authentication, single sign-on, auditing, compliance and integration of enterprise systems to cloud-based services.
