North Korean maximum ruler, Kim Jong Il, fondly referred to as ‘Dear Leader’ by his people has met his match in death.
The brutal dictator aged 69 (1942-2011) was said to have died of heart attack and will be buried in Pyongyang on December 28, 2011.
Kim whose death was announced on a State TV in a ‘special broadcast’ today had earlier in 2008 suffered stroke.
He is likely be succeeded by his third son Kim Jong Un whom he had anointed.
Kim succeeded his father Kim Il Sung, the the founder of the North Korean Communist country in 1994.
Meanwhile, a state of emergency has been declared by the South Korean military top brass following the death of ‘Dear Leader’.
