HM The Queen leads VE Day 70 commemorations at Westminster Abbey

HM The Queen led the nation in marking VE Day 70 on Sunday 10th May, at a Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, members of The Royal Family, the Prime Minister, and nearly 1,000 veterans and their families attended the service, with representatives of Allied Nations and Commonwealth countries who fought alongside Britain in the conflict.

The first new “greenfield” university in Britain launches tomorrow (Thursday 5 March 2015) with the support of a strong coalition of leading universities, engineers, businesspeople and politicians. It will open its doors to the first 300 students at its city centre campus in Hereford in September 2017.
