Sir,

A recent presentation of findings at US hacker conference DerbyCon demonstrated that medical cybercrime is on the rise.

Using a specially designed search engine called Shodan, hackers were able to identify vulnerable hospital networks along with all their connected devices including MRI machines, defibrillators and equipment in radiology and paediatric units.

Even though 68,000 medical systems have already been exposed, I expect this number will continue to rise. The growing trend in the medical technology (MedTech) industry for more portable and wearable medical devices that make up the Internet of Things (IoT) will render more devices vulnerable.

DCI is acquiring three helicopters for its Helicopter International Training Centre

Paris: Défense Conseil International has announced the acquisition of 3 helicopters for its Helicopter International Training Centre (H-ITC), located in the French Army bases of Dax and Luc-en-Provence.

This acquisition is meeting the very high demand of France partners in pilot training, from initial stage to operational mission conduct. The H-ITC needs amount to approximately 3,000 flight hours for 2016 alone. DCI therefore decided to acquire three additional aircraft and to update them to the same standard as HeliDax ones to homogenise the fleet used for instruction. The 1st aircraft should be levelled at the end of 2015 and the other two during the 2nd semester of 2016. The three helicopters will fly the DCI colours.
