Symetrica expands its business frontiers

Southampton: Symetrica Inc. has announced the expansion of its headquarters in Maynard, Massachusetts to support the company’s operations. The decision comes in response to the increasing US demand for more operationally effective radiation detection and identification solutions serving customs, border protection, law enforcement, emergency services, military personnel and first responders. Symetrica’s Discovery Technology® is at the heart of the Smiths Detection RadSeeker handheld radiation detectors for which the DHS Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) recently awarded an IDIQ (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) contract with a maximum value of $143 million for the technology, its maintenance and associated training.

PAS 3621 sets the standard for multi-point locks

House builders and door fabricators now have the opportunity of specifying PAS 3621 multi-point locks in order to raise levels of security in bespoke domestic entry doors.

PAS 3621 is the standard for multi-point locks which offers a similar level of security to the long established BS 3621 standard for single-point locks. BS 3621 has been the gold standard for single-point locks for timber doors having gained credibility when it comes to consumer understanding and acceptance.

BSIA members record huge success at Intersec

Members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) have returned from Intersec reporting a successful exhibition for UK exhibitors.

The three day show – held at the Dubai World Trade Centre over the 17th – 19th January – is seen by many as the most important security exhibition in the Middle East region and it plays a pivotal role in enabling UK companies to meet with potential customers, existing distributors or partners and as a platform to launch new products into the Middle-Eastern market.

Intersec has been a key fixture for many BSIA members who exhibit year-on-year and it continues to attract new exhibitors who are keen to take advantage of the opportunities the show presents.
