The threat to the UK from terrorism remains at SEVERE meaning that ‘an attack is highly likely’. While there is currently no specific threat, the recent terrorist attack on the football stadium in Istanbul, following on from last year’s Paris attacks at the Stade de France and Bataclan Theatre, was a timely reminder. As a result, law enforcement and private security patrols and activity at sports stadia, shopping centres and other crowded places must continue to be vigilant throughout the Christmas period.

UKCloud becomes first UK public sector cloud provider to support OpenStack Mitaka

London: UKCloud has announced a major upgrade to its entire Cloud Native Infrastructure platform to support the 13th release of OpenStack, Mitaka, making it the first UK public sector public cloud provider to run at this release level. UKCloud supports OpenStack in order to help its UK public sector customers comply with government policy stating that open standards must be used when procuring ICT and delivering any new ICT solutions, ensuring that all government ICT assets are inter-operable.
