Optional security protocol allows USB Type-C™ OEMs to protect against malicious payloads and harmful power surges from non-compliant USB devices

LEHI, Utah: DigiCert, Inc. has been selected by USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) to operate registration and certificate authority services for the USB Type-C™ Authentication specification. Using cryptographic-based authentication, the optional security protocol is designed to further strengthen USB Type-C’s position as the global standard for connecting and charging devices.

Royal Navy frigate HMS St Albans was recently seen  shadowing a Russian warship through the English Channel.

The Portsmouth-based Type 23 frigate is currently tasked with protecting UK waters and has been activated to keep watch on Russian Slava-class cruiser Marshall Ustinov.

The Russian unit – accompanied by an auxiliary ship and tug – recently left the Mediterranean and was tracked by allied French naval warships through the Bay of Biscay.

European online contact lens supplier Vision Direct has revealed a data breach which compromised full credit card details for a number of its customers, as well as personal information. Compromised data includes full name, billing address, email address, password, telephone number and payment card information, including card number, expiry date and CVV.
