Unmanaged personal devices could wreak havoc with the return to school, Armis study finds

With students, teachers and staff getting ready to return to school, Armis, the leading unified asset visibility and security platform provider, analysed the new working culture and how the security of personal devices could put the education sector at risk upon the return to school.

The survey of 2,000 UK employees conducted by Censuswide on behalf of Armis revealed that, over the lockdown period, 61% of professionals in the education sector* used their personal mobile phones for work, while 40% also used personal laptops. The real risks, however, arise when these new devices are exposed to the school/university/corporate network.

Afghanistan Appeal for Veterans’ Mental Health Working in Security

The events in Afghanistan are causing strong emotional reactions for former members of the armed forces, as well family members, many of whom work in the security industry, says Patrick Rea, campaign director of PTSD Resolution.

The armed forces’ charity has seen a surge in enquiries from veterans seeking help with mental health issues as they see the worsening news coverage. Many veterans, who suffered directly or witnessed terrible sights including the loss or injury of comrades, now find they are severely disturbed by memories of their experiences.
