Rapiscan Systems’ Eagle A1000 large pallet cargo screening system has been added to the US Transportation Security Administration's Air Cargo Screening Qualified Technology List. Developed for screening large air cargo containers and pallets, the system employs the Company's proprietary transmission high energy X-ray technology to detect threats in even densely packed containers, thereby reducing the need to break down the container or pallet being inspected. The system is designed to accommodate large pallets that are difficult to inspect using traditional screening technologies.
On Monday, August 16, 2010, the U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, Harry K. Thomas, Jr., on behalf of the US Government presented four police patrol boats to the Philippine National Police Maritime Group Special Boat Unit (SBU) headquartered in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
