Magenta Security is supporting the UK Parliament petition calling for assaulting a security worker to become a standalone offence, adding its voice to growing calls for greater protection for the people who help keep businesses, venues, frontline teams and the public safe.

For Magenta, the issue goes beyond enforcement. It is about fairness, recognition and respect for a profession that is too often expected to manage risk, de-escalate conflict and respond to incidents without the level of protection that role deserves. The company believes that better protection for security workers would send a clear message that violence and abuse against frontline personnel will not be tolerated.

London: The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has reported that the amount of AI-generated child sexual abuse material found online rose by 14 per cent in 2025, with the majority of videos showing the most extreme type of content under UK law.

Across the year, IWF identified 8,029 AI-generated images and videos depicting realistic child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Of the 3,443 videos analysed, 65 per cent of the were classified as category A, the term for the most severe material classification.
