40% of companies have lost major sales opportunities because they couldn’t access information

Cupertino, CA & London: Research conducted by Voltage Security®, the world leader in data-centric security, revealed that the pressure on companies to access information to get their job done is dividing the workforce. While 40% of companies have lost a sales opportunity because employees weren’t able to access the information they needed, an alarming 46% avoided the possibility of losing a sales opportunity by bypassing security controls to access necessary sensitive information to get the job done.

Do you work in bed? Almost a third of Brits do!

Over 1 in 5 people who work in bed spend 14 hours a week doing so and admit to checking their emails before kissing their partner!

London: Can’t sleep? Are you one of the 29% of people who look at emails and catch up on work whilst lying in bed? These are the statistics released today by Infosecurity Europe who polled 1000 commuters in London and found that almost a third of people work in bed with 15% tapping away at their computers or smartphones at the same time as their partner. Three quarters of those that work in bed admit to spending more than 30 minutes a day, that’s three and half hours a week on work and 22% spend more than two hours a day working in bed – amounting to an extra 14 hours a week.
