Basic pay between £17,265 - £26,405

£5,281 tax free Operational Allowance over a six month tour. This allowance was doubled from £14.51 per day to £29.02 on 6 May 2010.

A minimum of £1,218 in Longer Separation Allowance over a six month tour.

Defence Secretary Liam Fox announced yesterday that the Government would spend around £24 million more on Armed Forces pay after accepting the recommendations of the independent Armed Forces’ Pay Review Body.
