The Security Industry Authority recently held its 4^th Annual Stakeholders’ Conference entitled: A Common Purpose: Raising Standards in the Private Security on June 15^th, 2010 in London. Baroness Ruth Henig, Chairman of the SIA gave the keynote speech.

Papers presented included Working in the Private Security Industry by Russel Kerr, Managing Director of SecuriGroup, (ACS Champion of the Year 2009/2010); Buying Private Security: A Purchasers’ Perspective presented by Mr Andrew Nicholls, Head of Security and Licensing for Mitchells and Butlers; An International View of Private Security, presented by Hilde De Clerck, Secretary – General of the Confederation of European Security Services (CoESS) and A Case Study of Successful Partnership Working presented by DCC Mike Barton, Durham Police.
