Contributing to the success of the iCandy brand, the report recognises the leading British company’s brand values, innovation and impressive growth.
Business at iCandy is very much a family affair, established for over 80 years, the current third generation CEO’s brothers Bradley and Warren Appel, absorbed manufacturing knowledge from their grandfather Charles who founded a fashion company in 1933.
Today iCandy is the leading British luxury pushchair brand, receiving many accolades, and most recently the business was included in the London Stock Exchange second edition of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. This is an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises who have significantly outperformed their sector peers in the UK.
Xavier Rolet, CEO of London Stock Exchange Group wrote to iCandy World’s joint CEO’s, Bradley and Warren Appel to personally congratulate them on the achievement: “The list shines a light on some of the UK’s most vibrant companies, including yours.
“Your company and the other 999 featured in the report are proof of all that the UK has to offer. On behalf of the London Stock Exchange Group, I thank you for inspiring us.”
While iCandy distributes on a global scale, it is in fact run by a tight-knit British team of just over 50 people. The privately owned business has experienced an impressive growth in recent years and with its Great British heritage and company values has been recognised for numerous awards.
Bradley Appel, joint CEO of iCandy said “It's a great honour to be acknowledged by the London Stock Exchange. For iCandy this reinforces our innovation, trust and pioneering British design to our consumers. It's an important accolade to have and it means so much to be recognised with other great British companies also achieving the fastest-growing. This supports what we believe and is a powerful endorsement, we’re delighted as a British family business to have the London Stock Exchange Group, the Government and major political parties also recognise it.”
