HOW THE HAUSA - FULANIS, THE DESCENDANTS OF UTHMAN DANFODIO AND THEIR CRONIES UNDERDEVELOPED NIGERIA AND AFTERWARDS CREATED THE WILD DONKEYS OF THE DESERT
.....rerum cognoscere causas
Ahmadu Bello the late Sadauna of Sokoto...man with ungovernable ambition for the perpetual Northern domination of other regions in Nigeria
Whilst this man held sway as the actual power behind Nigeria's clay-like political throne in Lagos during the First Republic in which he held Nigeria by the jugular, whilst plotting his vision of ONE NORTH/NORTH IS NORTH; IT CAN'T BE DIVIDED, he engineered the partitioning of Southern Nigeria into three Regions - East, West and Mid-West to keep his political enemies in the South, fighting each other and perpetually divided. But the so-called One North for another political calculation of the Oligarchic Hausa-Fulanis at the later part of the 20th Century through the 21st Century was split into 19 States having more Local Government Areas, leaving the three former Regions combined with just 17 States with far, far fewer Council Areas. And in times of national crises when Arewa/jihadi elements in high places want to be mischievous, they scream out: "If Nigeria breaks up, we 'll have Abuja"- what that means in principle is that the Noah's rotted Ark, Abuja, your so-called Federal Capital Territory is North! But will Justice Akinola Aguda and Tai Solarin in their graves forgive themselves for allowing themselves to be so fooled in their then enthusiastic role in the ABUJA PROJECT, in which Mr Ibrahim Babangida with careless abandon heated the nation's economy and hastily removed the seat of power to Abuja from Lagos on 12 December 1991, where it is, till date, but with real power still coming from the emirates, the agents of the so-called SOKOTO CALIPHATE, Bello's inherited estate - and in that delusion of grandeur, by extension, the whole of Nigeria? So will my fellow compatriots, henceforth still be surprised the next time the bigot Ango Abdullahi and Mr Follow-Follow Iyorchia Ayu ludicrously moan and whine: "We give them chance...we pity them and allow them to rule...we give them power and they don't want to give it back to us again? Will somebody please tell Ayu that as far as the Oligarchs/cabals are concerned, all enthinic nationalities within the Northern calculus are mere index of number and will ever be Kafir, no more, no less. Now, will Iyorchia rush to the grave of J.S. Tarka and weep profusely? And may it be chronicled for posterity that 'Comrade' Ayu and other 'Marxist Esaus'/ideological U-turners that abound today at the corridors of power 'rankadedeing' Ebele Jonathan, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Buhari, Atiku and other stupendous expropriators/'wretched prodigals' have battered idealism, convinctionism and consciencism for a mess of pottage! Only yesterday, they were teaching their students what they were not being paid to teach...therefore, let all members of the former Ife Collective and such other former ultra-radical academics/Marxists everywhere in Nigeria including the academia hang their heads in shame!
He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone's hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
towards all his brothers.
- Genesis 16:12
BY JOHN ODEY ADUMA, PUBLISHER AND BRITISH CHEVENING SCHOLAR, UNITED KINGDOM
Nigeria as the map above shows was at various times partitioned along jihadi bloody routes with utter disregard for fairness and balance. Nigerians, home and abroad, should therefore, critically and reflectively compare the so-called map of Nigeria as above with the equally so-called map of Sokoto Caliphate and see what we mean.
The Nigerian Federation was partioned along Jihadi routes by the colonialists and subsequent civilian and military administrations. The jungle Boko Haram are merely following the script handed over to them by urban Boko Haram amongst whom are the emirs, top ranking military/police/para-military officers, both serving and retired, top civil servants (serving and retired), business people, politicians, academics, Muslim clerics who have been recruiting the Mujahideens from mosques, hotels, motels, brothels, marketplaces, roadsides, palaces, barracks, schools, colleges, universities, rugas, abandoned buildings, State Houses, etc, to conquer all those areas in the North, which Uthman Dan Fodio and his blood-thirsty band could not conquer between 1804 and 1815, whilst their orgiastic malady carried out in the name of jihad lasted. This explains their Paramecium strategy of moving back and front - Jos, Adamawa, Borno, especially in largely Christian areas bordering Chad and Cameroun, deliberately living out the largely Muslim States of North West. Also, in that script written for the jungle talibans by the urban ones, places of highly-mixed and sparsely-mixed population such as Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Jos, Benue(Katsina Ala, Makurdi), Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin, Onitsha, Enugu amongst others are very potential targets. In choosing the border areas of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, the calculation is that they could easily sneak in and out from neighbouring countries, who in every least way are unfriendly with the Nigerian State, where also, international terrorists (from Chad, Niger, Mali, Cameroon, Syria, Sudan, Somali, Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, etc, etc) could easily join them. The patterns of strategy and attack have remained largely the same since the earliest days of Hejira in 622 AD, but much copying (COPYCAT SYNDROME/ATTACKS) of strategies has been made from Al-Qaeda, ISIL and other satanic organisations in and around the world.
I have said time and again that if given the responsibility of head-hunting the leader of a two-man fishing boat on the Creeks of the Niger Delta, I will never, ever look towards one Ebele Nnamdi Jonathan, but how does he really hope to defeat Boko Haram when in most very sensitive appointments in that country, he has stupidly peopled them with the Salafist/Taliban/Boko Haram/Sunnis/Shi'ites script writers, strategists, plotters, planners, food suppliers, financiers, informants, weapon buyers/suppliers and those who liaised on their behalf with petro-dollar wealthy sheikhs from the Gulf States and Persian Gulf?
Finally, why has his eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad the Sultan of Sokoto not pronounced Fatwa on Abubakar Shekau and his other blood-thirsty demons, or are we to record for posterity that the Sultan thinks Ms Ifeoma Daniel's sin was far greater than the thousands that monster Shekau and his fellow desert donkeys have sent to their untimely graves? More, why does the like of Mr Ango Abdullahi not cry for the rotation of the spiritual head of Muslims in Nigeria or are we to conclude that this two-pence Professor does not have brians enough to apply democracy in things spiritual?
Also, why does Aminu Tambuwal, a lawyer, want to eat his cake and have it?
But can someone tell the Shariarists that theocracy and democracy cannot mix, and where they try to meet, they produce katakataology.
Nigerian youths in Northern States of Nigeria are missing their way and opportunities in the Nigerian Federation because the Northern elders are themselves kids who need guidance! Therefore, shouldn't the so-called Northern elders including all those in the so-called Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), so-called because the nation does not need any regional or ethnic association as it is ONE NIGERIA, and nothing but ONE NIGERIA, and the ONE NIGERIA is an indissoluble entity, by now not only consider themselves as jokers/insatiable elements, but mere irritant sucklings ever skulking for national toys and when things don't go their way, if they cannot contain the negative energies, intemperate and sanguinary tendencies of Nigerian youths from that geo-zone?
So why should anyone respect them as elders and why should the Nigerian press continue to refer to them as elder statesmen/women when they lack the internal cushioning capacity to douse tensions, manage and resolve conflicts emanating from that part of the country? Ironically, the North in the Nigerian Federation is where you have the most Generals, serving and retired, former Heads of State /Presidents, retired and serving IGPs, civil servants/technocrats, retired Judges, National Security Advisers, etc.
WARNINGS:
- The ship of State is adrift once again in the now very familiar stormy gale, but the Captain is busy celebrating his so-called 57th birthday, even when over 200 of his passengers have been taken away by the sea pirates. And the fact that Mama Power could push the celebrant Baba Kain-kain aside shows who's really, really rowing the boat of the Nigerian State. But would Jonathan have maintained his "I don't give a damn" attitude if his daughter, or Gowon's, Obasanjo's, Shagari's, Buhari's, Babangida's, Shonekan's, Abdul Salami's, Atiku's, Danjuma's, David Mark's, Tambuwal's, Dangote's or Muhammad Sa'ad's daughters were among the Chibok girls - would the daughters of all these men still be in captivity after six months?
Here, Nigeria's Nero, President "I don't give a damn", his power-hungry house wife Mama Power and their cronies celebrate, whilst the Chibok girls as shown in the picture below languish in captivity, where they have been held for over six months now!
Mr Jonathan surrounds himself with jet owners and Mammon Pastors who have converted "MY FATHER'S HOUSE" TO A DEN OF ROBBERS INSTEAD OF A HOUSE OF PRAYERS and makes endless trips to Jerusalem on a holy pilgrimage. But this is trying to bribe God! Our advice to crassly insensate and corrupt Jonathan therefore, is: "Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. And with respect to the Chibok girls still in captivity after six months, we ask him, just what would Jesus do? Go merrying? Since Ayo Oritsejetfor only preaches to his friend the ALL OTHER THINGS Gospel, instead of the Gospel of the Kingdom which is all about SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS...can Jonathan and Patience reach out for their copies of the Bible and read about the PARABLE OF THE LOST SHEEP?
Luke 15 New International Version (NIV)
The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15, NIV)
1. Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus.
2. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

- Can someone help tell the Taliban/Bolekaja politicians who are quick to run to the street to scatter things that security all over the world is a national issue, so requires collective efforts, moreso, when some of them claim to be Generals and Statesmen. Nigerians should watch it, these "Area Boys" out to create Arewa Political Caliphate are at it again, wanting to make we Naija once more, ungovernable if they cannot deliver Nigeria to their Arab masters and enlist her in the League of Arab Nations.
***TELL MR BUHARI & HIS GANG OF BOLEKAJA/GAMJI/AREWA POLITICIANS CUM DYNASTY BUILDERS ABRAHAM LINCOLN IS ON THE PHONE TO SPEAK TO THEM ONE AFTER THE OTHER BEGINNING FROM THE ARCH BIGOT HIMSELF
ABRAHAM LINCOLN DIDN'T MAKE AMERICA UNGOVERNABLE OR CALL DOWN FIRE FROM HELL TO DESTROY HIS COUNTRY EACH TIME HE FAILED IN AN ELECTION, BUT WAITED PATIENTLY FOR HIS TIME WHICH EVENTUALLY CAME IN 1860 IN SPITE OF, AS BELOW:
- "Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. If you want to learn about somebody who didn't quit, look no further.
- Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown.
- He could have quit many times - but he didn't and because he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of our country.
- Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up. Here is a sketch of Lincoln's road to the White House:
- 1816: His family was forced out of their home. He had to work to support them.
- 1818: His mother died.
- 1831: Failed in business.
- 1832: Ran for state legislature - lost.
- 1832: Also lost his job - wanted to go to law school but couldn’t get in.
- 1833: Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt.
- 1834: Ran for state legislature again - won.
- 1835: Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.
- 1836: Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.
- 1838: Sought to become speaker of the state legislature - defeated.
- 1840: Sought to become elector - defeated.
- 1843: Ran for Congress - lost.
- 1846: Ran for Congress again - this time he won - went to Washington and did a good job.
- 1848: Ran for re-election to Congress - lost.
- 1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state - rejected.
- 1854: Ran for Senate of the United States - lost.
- 1856: Sought the Vice-Presidential nomination at his party’s national convention - got less than 100 votes.
- 1858: Ran for U.S. Senate again - again he lost.
- 1860: Elected president of the United States!"
- Ebele Jonathan, you cannot keep your Minister of Defence, NSA, IGP and other good-for-nothing Security Chiefs beyond next week. They are totally usesless to themselves and the nation.
- Get rid of these worms and bring on board Victor Malu or David Jemibewon or Abubakar Umar or Ishola Williams as Defence Minister - and you also, have Donald Duke or Tam David West to help you sort out things at the Petroleum Ministry.
- 2015: In the name of God, don't let Nigeriageddon come!
PREAMBLE
Boko Haram is the very reason for Nigeria’s under development; the collapse of values; public utilities such as the Nigeria Airways, the Nigeria Railway Corporation, the deplorable national infrastructure; the imbalance in States creation; imbalance in the composition of the so-called National Assembly; the neglect of the education sector; the scrapping of Satellites Universities in the name of “Southern rush for Education..., the deliberate neglect of the Niger Delta, South Eastern Nigeria since the civil war ended, the ganging up against the Igbos of Nigeria in the quest for their presidential vision.
At higher levels they have come in forms of the pogrom of the 60s consequent upon the civil war, the killing of Major General Umunnakwe Aguyi - Ironsi; the imposition of a nitwit in the person of General Yakubu Gowon on Nigeria in the early days of the nation’s journey to nationhood instead of Brigadier Babafemi Ogundipe who was then next in rank to General Ironsi; the balkanization of Nigeria into twelve states by Gowon, courtesy of advice from some politicians and traditional rulers of Northern extraction, by General Murtala Muhammed an Auchi son who in order to be in the good book of the Northern elements claimed Hausa roots and Kano as his State of origin as was the norm amongst some unprincipled young Nigerian who unlike Moses preferred the butter and bread life of palaces and the privileges that came with them amongst such was General T.Y. Danjuma who could not be man enough to display his Christian name "Theophilus" whilst his service years lasted; from twelve to 19 by Murtala; 21 and later 36 by the locust cum worm called Ibrahim Badamasi (Gbadamosi?) Babangida whose origin till date in the Nigerian Federation is highly in doubt; the injustices against the Niger Delta even though 95% of the nation’s total revenue comes from oil deposited in that region with its attendant consequences of environmental degradation of the region; Boko Haram has come in the various coups that had brought the errand boys/agents of the Hausa-Fulani to power; there has been Boko Haramism in the lopsided nature of the civil service; the secondment strategy, where persons of Northern extraction are seconded to their States or any State in the North and given rapid promotion and returned two years thereafter, to the Federal Civil Service as a director when their mates of Southern Nigerian origin are still on entry or mid-level of their service history to lord it over them and in a few years time advanced again to permanent secretaries far above their service mates from the South who in fact, are the ones doing the brain and paper works with their service mates whose rise in the civil service had been dubiously and politically fast-tracked only append their signatures on those things which their ‘monkey’ compatriots from the South had spent nights to think them out, written and done! Nigeria, we hail thee!
Boko Haramism is an ideology of the descendants of Uthman Dan Fodio and the Hausa-Fulani, particularly its earliest promoter/spiritual and intellectual architec Ahmadu Bello, the arrogant Rabbah boy from Sokoto ( born June 12, 1910 and killed in the first coup of January 15, 1966) and first Premier of Northen Region whose overweening ambition to become the Sultan of Sokoto in 1938 was later compensated with the traditional title of Sadauna of Sokoto. The son of a district head and heir to the Sokoto Caliphate, his great-grandfather was Sultan Bello, the founder of Sokoto and son of the blood-thirsty Usmanu Danfodiyo. This jihadi promoter who sowed the seed of ruling Nigeria perpetually by the Oligarchs was actually the one marionetting and puppeting weak-minded Abubakar Tafawa Balewa from Kaduna (the real seat of the nation's power then as from there it was that Bello was calling the shots!) on how to rule Nigeria from North to South as if the country were the estate of his forebears, whilst he and his brothers and sisters and cousins and their lackeys in the military, civil service including the gullible politicians in the then so-called seat of power, Lagos and the four Regions - Northern, Eastern, Western and the Mid-Western which was poached from Obafemi Awolowo his arch-rival to knock some senses into his rebellious head full of socialist ideals including the idea of free education he had embraced as a member of the British Labour Party's think-tank Fabian Society (founded in 1884 and Fabian is in fact, the world's first think-tank) and beacuse of his uncompromising stance on sensitive national issues, whilst the U.S. trained Anthropologist Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe was behaving before Bello and his errand boy Tafawa like a coco yam leaf, always compromising on every sensitive national issues.
Bokoharamism is the reason for the non-representative nature of the armed forces, the police, immigration service, customs and excise erroneously called the Nigeria Army, instead of the Army in Nigeria, the Nigeria Navy instead of the Navy in Nigeria, the Nigerian Air Force instead of the Air Force in Nigeria, the Nigeria Police instead of the Police in Nigeria, the Nigerian Immigration Service instead of the Immigration Service in Nigeria, the Nigeria Customs and Excise instead of the Customs and Excise in Nigeria!
GRAVE ERROR IN THE FOREIGN POLICY SHIFT OF THE 60s TILL DATE
Boko Haramism was the reason why Yakubu Gowon, a Christian was asked by the palaces in the North and top civil servants to send Alhaji Abubakar Gumi in 1969 to lead a delegation of Nigeria to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) meet in Cairo, Egypt and decades later, again on the advice of traditional rulers in the North and top civil servants of northern extraction, Babangida dragged Nigeria into the OIC in 1986; Boko Haramism was the reason why Nigeria under Umaru Yar'Adua was dragged into the D-8 with ONLY Nigeria as a secular State (Current members: Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. Fellow compatriots, behold the friends of Nigeria!).
According to a popular saying: “Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.” If Nigeria leaves light for darkness, she must not complain when darkness becomes her way of life; if Nigeria abandoned the friendship of enlightened nations for that of nations living in the antediluvian and medieval era, she should stoically learn to put up with endemic violence and orgiastic/bestial killings that characterise these regressive nations; if Nigeria prefers to hang around with ultra-retrogressive nations, she certainly cannot be the only once making advances when the other members of the Dark Club are steeping in violence and regressing fast into the Baconian State of Nature, where life is brutish, nasty, short, etc.
And according to an Igbo proverb: “He who brings ant-infested faggots to the house must not complain when ants begin to visit him." Show me just one D-8 or Arab/Islamic nation that is enjoying peace and experiencing progress. Not a single one, so our Naija cannot be an exception! Therefore, it is well to say thus: sow into light, reap light; sow into heaven, reap heavenly fruits, so also, sow into darkness, reap darkness; sow into violence, reap violence; sow into blood, reap blood; sow into death, reap death; sow into hell, reap hellish fruits; sow into progress, reap progress; sow into regression, reap regression; sow into negativity, reap negativity, but sow into positivity, reap possitivity.
Bokoharamism was the reason for the new alliance as spear-headed by Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who eventually died in an Arab hospital; Bokoharamism is the reason why until the recent Baga incident, Nigerians of Northern extraction were bypassing the West to hide their loots in Arab nations and embarking in obscene investments from money stolen from the Nigerian taxpayers. I hear Dubai is the New Mecca for some rogues and fools in Nigeria and that people like the Atikus of these world drag fellow rogues to attend the wedding of his son in Dubai, yet a man with this type of very warped thinking and vision is warming up to rule Nigeria.
Apart from being the Wedding Centre for the children of African thieves and Beauty and Fragrance Shop for their medicated skin wives, having thoroughly bleached themselves to extremity and have been left with Fanta face and Coca Cola bodies with mucour-ridden feet, is also a place Nigerians dash to from their offices during office hours to empty thier bowels when pressed and dash back in their jets beacuse the toilets in Dubai are made of gold and you are guaranteed of living on our Earth for eternity because the toilets in Dubai also contain elixir of life; I also hear that in Nigeria if your toiletries are not from Dubai, you are considered not to have arrived; I hear Nigerians even go to Dubai just to buy chewing stick, boxes of matches, pair of slippers, pure water, handkerchiefs, onions, wigs, ladies hand bags, shaving sticks, toothpastes, garri, amala, akara, pap, pomo, oku-eko....O YOU FOOLISH AFRICANS, know ye not that Dubai was a desert turned into paradise by the Arabs using their petro-dollar wealth, the same oil wealth which since 1956 Nigerian rogues have been sharing it amongst themselves dashing themselves oil wells such that in the heat of that obscene wealth and gross irresponsibility one of the money-miss roads/vultures/locusts once boasted he made $500 million a day from his own ill-gotten share!
Yep, as I was saying, the Hausa-Fulanis of Nigeria since the Baga containment exercise appears to be courting the West, their erstwhile bosses who on leaving handed over Nigeria to them in a manner reminiscent of the Biblical king who on leaving for a far country said to his trusted servants on handing over his kingdom to them: OCCUPY TILL I COME.
With the colonial mentality which is still the bane of all persons of African ancestry, the Baga-induced romance by the North with the West was a political calculation by them that Britain and America will one day or another back their quest to wrest power, their ‘birthright’ from the South or the Ijaw Confraternity, even if it means getting it through coup which is the last resort in their magomago bag, if Boko Haram failed them as the the street urchins the Almajiris had failed them resulting in the North divorcing the almajiris, albeit, temporarily leading to their current mosters Boko Haram, which as we had predicted have not only abandoned the original scripts handed over to them by the cabal, but have turned into Frankenstein's monsters.
Bokoharamism is the very reason for the politicization of the police, the armed forces, the para-military; Boko Haramism was the reason for the destruction of the Nigerian educational system under IBB using Jibril Aminu, his then Education Minister who today is posing as a patriot seizing every available opportunity to display his brand of patriotism and loyalty before Nigeria’s Kile jeku(?) journalists when in fact, he’s a member of the inner circle that has destroyed Nigeria. Aaaaah! Have you so soon forgotten the case of former Miss Adeyinka Badejo Versus Jibril Aminu? The then young woman scored 293% in the National Common Entrance Examination of 1988, but was not invited to attend an interview, whereas, those who scored far, far below her grade in Jibril's & Ibrahim Babangida's North were not only invited for interviews, but were in fact, given admissions. To the dismay of the chroniclers of Nigerian education history and posterity, when the then Miss Badejo dared Prof. Jibril Aminu at the court of law, Justice Grace AKINBOBOYE told the then young woman that she had no locus standi.
That destruction of education in Nigeria by Jibril Aminu and others of his ilk before him acting on behalf of the ignominious cabals largely account for the state of the education sector in Nigeria of today such that people from far-flung lands including lamentably for example, Universities in the Gulf States and those of our next door neighbours, Ghana and Republic of Benin now flood Nigeria to hold Education Fair for knowlege-thirsty young Nigerians whose parents having been frustrated by the open-today-close tomorrow syndrome of the nation's higher institutions are being milked dry of hansome resources in their attempt to seek alternatives for their children/wards in all realms and climes, in and around the world at what ever cost! This being the sorry state of our educational system currently, on behalf of posterity therefore, I want to ask the trio of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Ango Abdullahi and Jibril Aminu: What really went wrong with education in Nigeria?
Still on the locust-like activities of the Oligarchic North as carried out by this same Jibril Aminu as witnessed by me in one of my many investigations day and night on desertification, grazing land, mega dams (Tiga and Challawa Gorge Dams, the Kafin Zaki Dam project which was discontinued by the so-called Interim National Government (ING) of Ernest Shonekan because of my findings, massive irrigation projects which has killed traditional agriculture, desiccation of the river systems, subsistence pastoralism which led to the formation of General Muhammadu Buhari’s The Pastoral Resolve, which was the idea of my former boss and mentor Mr Romeo Barberopoulos, chairman and founder of Nigerian Foundries Ltd, the plight of the Fulani Bororos, etc, etc, I visited the desert where Jibril Aminu then in his capacity as Minister of Petroleum and the Northern elders were wasting our money to look for oil in the desert. When I took it up with Oil Companies CEOs and prominent expatriates resident in Nigeria, especially the rationale for such a wicked waste of resources, they told me Jibril had told them when he was asked to give up the obvious futile efforts of hoping to get oil in the desert, Jubril had said to them: “I will not stop as I don’t want to incur the wrath of the Northern elders.
Fellow compatriots, home and abroad, can you now see that Bokoharamism is the very reason for such a waste when such money could have been used for the education of the talakawas' children they had kept as cannon fodders over the years to slaughter at will their compatriots, especially the Igbos, Christians and others . I make bold to say here that after the revered politician Aminu Kano and Gambo Sawaba the no-nonsense female activist, no Nigerian living or dead has again taken up the peculiar situation of the almajiris, the talakawas generally aimed at educating them, rehabilitating them, liberating them and giving them a future as I have done, and still do both nationally and internationally.
I want to stress here with all sense of responsibility that all the Hausa-Fulani elite and political class including military officers are united in their mistreatment of the almajiris and talakawas. While in Nigeria when I had taken up their matter with traditional rulers in palaces and Generals, they all told me: “People should be allowed to be educated in line with their religion.” And when I had to remind them their children are not receiving this miserable education and I would be told, “My dear John, that’s the type of education they want, let them have it.” Again, Boko Haramism is the reason for their foisting of Islamic education on the children of the talakawas, whilst they are sending their children to City University, Oxford, Imperial College, Harvard, etc.
Therefore, the monstrosity being perpetrated by Abubakar Shekau and his fellow beasts can be understood from the perspective of this denial of Western education to him/them by this amoral Hausa-Fulani class of Nigerians. It is not really that in the conscius, he really does think that Western education including all westernisms are bad, but having felt oppresed at the sub-concious level and made to feel inferior to his age mates from the Hausa-Fulani upper class lording it over him with positions and all the obscene luxuries of Westernism available to them, which of course, had been denied him, by virtue of his talakawa backgound had to create a theory for himself as a compensatory one for that lack occasioned by his very poor background to consciously rubbish Westernism and the beneficiaries some of whom are his friends, neighbours, but living now in affluence. Psychoanalytically speaking, what he and such other Islamists before him want(ed) to do is to rubbish the social status and the Olympian heights they had attained in life by pulling them to his social dwelling place in the valley of lack, penury and poverty. So how does he do this: In Shekau's very word: "Kill"! "Kill"! "Kill"! Thus with guns, bombs, military uniforms, bullets, etc, etc, which even though he is using them, are not conscious to him at a deeper subconscious level that these are in fact, Western innovations and values....what about the internet, video, You-Tube and other forms of social media they use for propaganda purposes - more without the printing press/machine, another Western innovations, the Koran would have remained at the level of orature! I do hope that some day, God and time permiting, I will do a scholarly psychoanalytical examination of the man Abubakar Shekau, putting him in the balance of that rare field of study (Psychoanalysis) for the world and posterity to see and understand the pschopath better.
In trying to understand Abubakar Shekau, a few short exaples will help the reader: What is the rich man's attitude to wealth/riches? The rich man thinks money is cool, fun and everything, whereas any poor person will feel good deriding wealth/money as the root of all evils, not the love of money. This was a common attitude of early Christians - the SUs of those days to money, until the Benson Idahosa pioneering prosperity gospel, which has been taken to obscene level by the likes of Ayo Oritsejefor, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, Chris Oyakhilome, David Oyedepo, Chris Okotie, Matthew Ashimolowo, etc, etc, some of them now proud owners of jets bought with money contributed by the gullible poor, rich, Government officials in their attempt to turn God into money-doubler, magician, Father Christmas through their carefully crafted-marketing-orientated abracadabra gospel.
Still one more example: An illiterate man who married a woman who is very well read and has reached a professorial level in a university, will having felt intimidated by his wife, embark on verbal violence, even physical violence and would always tell the wife: "You are a yeye Professor, let me tell you." And every time in his own home-based "Ph.D" (Pull Her Down) project, he will at every turn remind the wife: "You are my property...upon all your bukuru, let me tell you, you are my property...I bought you with my money...I will kill you and nobody will ask me any f--king question!" At another time, he will deride her: "Na book we go chop?"
Even though a creation of the Hausa-Fulani ethinic nationality within the Nigerian Federation, Abubakar Shekau is jealous/envious of the privileges his creators and their children enjoy, but which he and members of his poverty-stricken group lack, so with such brutal beheadings, all the weapons at his disposal and all those who attend to him now with his status in Boko Haram as a General coupled with the media attention he gets world wide and the gross ineptitude of Jonathan, his useless Service Chiefs, their ever frightful soldiers who become like grasshoppers once the names Boko Haram and Abubakar Shekau are mentioned, moreso, scampering away to hide or escape to neighbouring countries, he feels great and sees himself as an invincible conquistador/conqueror.
The constant frictions between the Fulani herdsmen and farmers across Nigeria resulting in untold and avoidable deaths are causing me great pain and sleepless nights as I had been involved in it since the 1990s on returning from national service hoping to draw the attention of successive Governments to their plight, but all my efforts were to no avail. A fundamental problem between me and my Greek-Nigerian boss Mr R.V. Barberopoulos leading to the formation of the Pastoral Resolve (PARE) in which he had to co-opt the likes of Buhari was that subsistence pastoralism had outlived its time. We aimed at having the Bororos lived a settled live in modern day Nigeria in consonance with prevailing realities by way of gradual settlement, integration and education.
In the whole of the vision which involved having the pastoralists lived a settled live, giving them Western education which will enable them take care of their animals in a scientific and a more profitable manner, the overall goal was economic pastoralism. We visited the herdsmen separately in their rugas and I personally designed the literature for the Pastoral Resolve and wrote letters signed by my boss which we sent to Governors and Ministers to raise funds for the take off of The Pastoral Resolve. The efforts of Mrs Mary Lar in the education of the nomads' children is not to be ignored. Again, Jibril Aminu as Minister of Education came up with the stupid idea of nomadic education which was fiercely attacked by the late Nigerian educationist Tai Solarin, founder of May Flower School Ikenne.
In my numerous investigations throughout the length and breath of Northern States of Nigeria, visiting them in their rugas, (***in the last of such investigations of the environmental, hydrological, agricultural problems facing the whole of Northern Nigeria spanning nearly 12 years with one such investigation in and around the Northern States of Nigeria winning me the Diamonds Awards for Media Excellence as Reporter of the Year in 1993, I spent over three months traversing the North, visiting peasant farmers in their fadamas which is currently under severe threats, courtesy of the mega dams/massive irrigation projects) I had discovered areas that in the 60s were officially designated as grazing lands had been converted to development projects with Generals and their civilian counterparts having their obscene mansions and castles, such places are where you have farms owned by Generals, both serving and retired and former civilian federal and States officers. The same people who had converted into development projects all the rich flood plains in the North whose excess waters used to empty into during flooding before General Yakubu Gowon’s stupid and politically motivated policy of Greening the North resulting in the construction of mega dams and massive irrigation projects which denied people living downstream waters for agricultural purposes, thus shrinking traditional agriculture in the Northern States of Nigeria leading to the dessication of the river systems in the North provoking intractable desertification and dust bowls. All places that have become battle fields now between the Nigerian Military and Boko Haram were places I used to traverse with my interpreters, amongst them Musa who out of patriotism and concern for world peace once bared the trouble of his soul to me when he said Islam and Christianity are the problems of the world. Musa was introduced to me by Dr Hadi Mustapha, a very humble and patriotic Nigerian from Kano State.
When the whole nation was flooded some years back, I screamed when Mr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said his Government would build more dams. I have never heard such a stupid thing in my life. So, tell Jonathan when next there's flood in Nigeria, he should know that, both in the North and South of Nigeria, senseless and highly irresponsible Generals/high ranking police officers, all serving and retired, traditional rulers, good-for-nothing politrickcians and top civil servants had blocked MOST flood plains, natural water outlets, where major rivers ought to drain into during heavy rainfalls. North and South, from Lekki, Dolphin Estate, Maroko, even those Generals and Senior military officers who bought and turned Open Spaces at Festac Town into obscene mansions, I know all of them one by one and was even threatened death by one of them if I wrote anything about his own part of the Open Space, where he was erecting his obscene mansion at Festac Town. Some of those Generals were serving Governors under Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. I went ahead to write and published the story co-authored by Mr Sam Inam then a corp member on the Magazine Desk of The Guardian on Sunday, but what did IBB do, nothing! Again, I say nothing, instead I received warnings to be careful because: "You are stepping on toes of people at the top!" Need I say here that during the Festac story, a particular journalist who then was being tested on the Magazine Desk and attached to me by our Editor, Mr Obasi Ogbonaya, who later became Special Assistant on Media to one of Nigeria's President, now late, ran away when I went on the investigation with him, hence I took along with me in the subsequent investigations Sam Inam, a mere copper, but very, very brave and an enthusiatic young man. The then Editor of the Magazine Desk of the Guardian on Sunday under the editorship of Mr Eluem Emeka Izeze titled that investigation: Robbing Peter to Pay Pay.
As a practising Environmental Journalist of 14 years in Nigeria from 1989-2003, there's is nothing I do know about the Nigerian Environment, North and South. Take my discussion on flooding as in the interest of the nation, North and South, because unprecedented floods are coming, it is therefore, good for the current Government and the coming ones to know the actual causes of flooding cum intractable erosions as in the East, which I had also investigated and written copiously about. Whilst in my analysis of excessive flooding/intractable erosion in Northern and Southern Nigeria, I will attribute these disasters to two major factors, namely: Natural and Human activities, I will dwell on the man-made ones as the handiwork of very irresponsible privileged people, for example again, I know all the top military personnel who then sandfilled the surrounding waters/areas of Dolphin/Osborne Road and I hear they have already erected their obscene mansions there, so when you block water ways now because you suddenly stumble on wealth, which of course, to my mind, ill-gotten, hence not deserved, you are imperilling, first and foremost, your life and those of your family members because even if it takes 100 years, excess waters from the ocean, especially in these days of climate change/global warming and then, that of others and the entire nation. As an eye witness, virtually, all these obscene mansions were erected with gross disregard for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), both short term and long term implications/consequences. Today, because you have stolen our money, and you have used part of it to get yourself a mansion by the sea/ocean, especially from Lekki Peninsula, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Marine Road Apapa and Maroko, where General Raji Rasaki drove away hapless Nigerians only to sell the land to his ilk, who now have created inexplicable obscenities thereon, but my heart is full of joy as I write, because you have not just use your position to take advantage of the poor, but the pay-back time is coming very soon!
Whether all over Edo State up to Ossoso, in the East, some areas, its due to mining activities, Kogi, Lagos State, Oyo State, States up North, the stories are the same, mega dams, massive irrigation projects, Generals' farms, mansions, other agricultural activities which have blocked the flood plains, where excess waters used to drain into and move such excess waters from one natural outlet to another, have all been blocked, also, coupled with excessive grazing over the years.
At Irua in Edo State during my investigation in the 1990s of the havoc caused by floodings and erosion, taking me through to the East and the Niger Delta, erosion then was so severe that communities/villages were separated from each other, access was only through the valley-like deep gully, which could collaspe/cave in as villagers linked up with one another through the dangerous access routes. Then, the late Admiral Akhabue Aikhomu was the Vice President of Nigeria, yet this was in his own home town, but in spite of this danger/natural calamity, he thought building a church and having a telephone exchange in Irua was better, where he would worship after retirement and having access to good network of communications with his cohorts in Nigeria and the outside world. No villager at this time had any need for telephone. In fact, transportation to get to Irua then, was like passing a camel through the eye of a needle. But there was a sharp contrast on that same investigaton, when I went to his GRA residence in Benin City, the same goes for all other Generals, when you go to their birth places in their villages, their own very relatives live as if in pre-historic times, particularly the ones from the North, but when you go to Government Reservation Areas in capital cities, you will, if you have conscience vomit at the level of obscene mansions/castles you will find, in the North, such places as GRAs Kaduna, Kano, Maiduguri, etc. etc, are good examples.
During that investigations on flooding across the country, I interviewd John Odigie Oyegun, who is now wasting his time with APC, then the Governor of Edo State on the errosion all over Edo in which he said devoting the whole budget of the State to it could not solve the problem, so to the the Federal Government, I warn: FLOODS ARE COMING AGAIN!
Also, that Bokoharamic over-emphasis and concentration of agricultural developments in Northern Nigeria have put Southern Nigeria at a very, very serious disadvantage agriculturally and it calls for a declaration of a state of emergency regarding agricultural development in the South. It is Bokoharamism which makes virtually all agriculture ministers come from the North, a situation which has continued since the 60s.
With respect to the constant frictions between the herdsmen and farmers across Nigeria, it appears to me even though I had been fighting for them over the years, they appear to me to go to a place with their imperialistic culture of dominating which to me is a serious charater trait of our Hausa-Fulani brothers and sisters who think it is their divine right to rule Nigeria perpetually , dominate and conquer by force their compatriots. With due regard to their frustrations as their grazing lands had been taken over by the powerful Hausa-Fulani elements in the North, they impudently enter their compatriots' farmlands in the South with the mindset of seizing their lands, without an iota of consideration for the crops of their compatriots in the South, and once they are challenged by the farmers, the next thing is to kill for such brazen audacity and temerity.
The story of Ilorin which in part is by jihadist exploits, Katsina Ala in Benue, in Plateau State - Barkin Ladi, where I had also taken up the cases/plight of miners/investigated illegal mining and Jos North Central are cases to prove instances of the Hausa-Fulani ungovernable quest for land seizure and disregard for the feelings and humanity of the other persons outside of their stock. Need I aver here that as a desperately and highly imperialistic culture, the Hausa-Fulani have swallowed up other languages in the Northern geographical zone of Nigeria being the language of force; and understanding and speaking it is seen as a sure way to getting whatever you want within the zone. It is also, the dominant and domineering language amongst the nation’s armed forces, and in some way in the police and sometimes understanding and speaking it amongst armed forces personnel and the police including the para-military endears you to Nigerian officers of the Hausa/Fulani stock and win you their favour and unmerited promotions and contracts as they have been the ones in custody of the national power. Apart from knowing this inside out as a journalist, I grew up in Barracks at a time when the discipline and regimented life of the military rubbed off on us we Barracks, and sometimes, we were taken as soldiers and given the same respect as actual soldiers - this was in the 70s in Lagos and Badagry, when we Barracks boys came out of the Barracks, women at Oshodi would carry their wares and ran away crying out with some of them running and falling with their wares: Awon omo soja, and in Badagry, similar scenarios did play out with market women and villagers at Ajara, bodering Republic of Benin, before Seme Border, from where I crosssed through the dreaded Elepo bush path to Benin Republic as a rice merchant from Eastern Nigeria, without passport beating 16 Security Check points, eight on either side of the two countries to do a story on rice importaion, through the Republic of Benin, which won me the Nigeria Media Merit Award as Reporter of the Year in 1993, presented to me by Professor Jerry Gana, then as the nation's Minister of information and Culture. Market women being afraid of us Barracks boys would cry out as they were running away from us: Ovie soja! Ovie soja! Looking back, some amongst us took advantage of them by seizing their wares until such were redeemed monetarily.
I have deliberately gone to all this length because I'm shedding tears for Nigeria as I write. The Barracks Boys relationship with civilians should be seen in light of recent happening in the military which is not surprising to me, the break down of discipline, the break down in chains of Command and Control. If civilians so respected us Barracks Boys in the early 70s through early 80s, you could imagine how much respect they would give to real soldiers. I must confess, as Barracks boys, we were not treated differently from the real soldiers by the Commanders, Regimental Sergearnt Majors. When the flag was to go up and taken down, every soldier was meant to stand at attention as the bugle went up, so did we Barracks Boys, and if you were crossing a particular place around the Parrade Ground, you were required to hurtle taking quick short run, with your hands stretched out by your sides, we Barrack boys were no exception! In some areas of the Barracks, where you have the Nigerian flags and the Company's/Infantry's/Regiment's/Division's flags, you were not expected to bypass such hallowed ground sloppily, you passed with your hands stretched out or saluted as you wished to do, but woe betides you that you were caught by a senior person, whether you were a real soldier or a Barracks boy, you would be frog-jumped! So I literarily wept when I read sometimes ago that soldiers mutinied. In fact, before tears started flowing out from my eyes, I cried out as soldiers of former generations - The Royal West African Frontier Force and the 63NA would exclaim: "Who born monkey?"
As a Barracks boy growing up at the Military Cantonement, Ikeja in Lagos, it was a serious worry for me seeing the character of the Army changing with the coming into the Barracks of a new generation of soldiers - The 79NAs including a new generation of Barracks boys and girls, who thoroughly without aspirations sowed into flesh. They were highly indisciplined; untrained; careless about their dressing; no starching of uniforms; no shining of their boots; totally disrespectful of their superiors; they dodged parades; never tucked in; always found in Disco Halls and night clubs; they never observed any of those things I had mentioned above, etc, etc. I once asked one of them called Abu: "You are always carrying girls and going to hotels to pick up prostitutes, if war comes now, what will you do?" His answer then in the 80s would help the military authorities place the current exploits of their men in relation to Boko Haram in proper perspective. My friend Abu retorted: "Who told you I join soldier to fight war? I just looked for work so tay tire, as I no see any work, na him I turn to soja work...who told you say, if war come I go stay...I go drop my uniform and run away. In fact, my Mama say, if war come, make I run come home...she say make I never go to war." In a situation, where indiscipline in the military has reached an unparalleled lowest point, isn't it about time that Gowon, Obasanjo, Buhari, Babangida and Abdulsalami called a meeting/conference of all senior retired military officers to meet immediately and discuss this national shame? How dare any soldiers or group of soldiers look up their GOC in the face? To be honest, this is not about sentiment, I know all about their problems, but in the Army, the rule of the game is: OBEY BEFORE COMPLAIN, so who born monkey for soldiers to take up arms against their GOC, no matter what? As the 63NAs, whilst I was still living in Barracks as a boy often derided the 79NAs as "Women Soldiers," after my encounter with Abu, I gave the 79NAs the name: DISCO SOLDIERS, for these are the military personnel you currently have in Nigeria including their Generals/Commanders!
This highly imperialistic, short fuse, highly inflammable, intolerant, volatile culture which has since indepence refused to integrate into and embrace Nigerianism as it sees itself within the confines of Nigerian polity superior to all the –isms and ideologies, and also does impose its dress codes and ways of life on all those who interact with it and does always like all imperialistic cultures sees itself as superior to all that comes its way.
Totally lacking in humility, the Hausa-Fulani ideologues see themselves as having the divine right to rule other Nigerians and will always make the country ungovernable for other Nigerians seen by them as kafirs or infidels. Of all the ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, the Hausa-Fulani remain the most intolerant, most unaccommodating and the most unintegrative, most ruthless, most crassly insensitive, inconsiderate, most domineering of them all. The insightful reader must by now see where the problems of the Nigerian State have been coming from. This trademark insensitivity of the Hausa/Fulani culture accounts for their seeming orgiastic pastime of blood-letting in the name of Islam/jihad. This is the very reason why the pogrom of the 60s, the beheading of compatriot Akaluka and the many, many, many killings of the Igbos, other Nigerians, especially Christians by earliest sects, election warriors/soldiers or the political thugs from some Northern States of Nigeria, amongst them: Karare, Yan daba, Yan akusa used by the Northern Peoples Congress to terrorise and kill political opponents in the First Republic, Kawaye or Yan, Ecomog, Sarasuka from amongst whom Boko Haram cum the West African terrorists and international terrorists are recruiting for their jihadi campaign and now Boko Haram - agents of the Oligarchic North had been possible.
In light of the above preamble, I would like the reader to know that when I write on the security situation in Nigeria, even though from abroad, I write from a position of certainty – the certainty of the coming omen which will soon engulf Nigeria as the band of terrorists, the so-called jihadi warriors of the Hausa/Fulani stock and other regional/international terrorists being financed by disgruntled Taliban politicians in Africa, Taliban traditional rulers, Taliban former federal officers, both civilians and military/police including those currently serving, Taliban clerics/Muslim Scholars and by their Arab masters/other Muslim nations who are bent on having an Arab Republic of Nigeria to be added to such foolish/funny arrangements as Arab Republic of Egypt, Arab Republic of Tunisia, Arab Republic of Morocco, Arab Republic of Sudan, Arab Republic of Libya, etc, who without shame sit at the table of African Brotherhood in the African Union with no one challenging them as to why countries that have officially dubbed themselves as Arab nations should be members of an authentic African Union.
No wonder a revolution which began in Tunisia and spread to some countries in North Africa has been hijacked/stolen and subsequently dubbed Arab Spring! So having a Nigeria to be officially known as ARAB REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA to the Arab/Muslim world is a project that must be accomplished and where not possible, the Muamar Gadafi option of dividing Nigeria along religious line will be their last best option as the current arrangement of Sudan and Southern Sudan!
The Nigerian authorities did not get it when Gadafi had mouthed this lunacy, worse still, in their very naivety they did not know Gadafi was speaking the mind of the Arab/Muslim World. If by now African leaders despite my cries have not got the sudden and current jihadi activities in North Africa, West Africa, East Africa, they should bury their heads in shame. And if South Africa, I mean the whole of South Africa and Central African Republic think jihadi forces will pass them by, my pity for their very naivety.
On behalf of the Arab world Gadfi financed the destabilization of Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc, - the forces have destabilised Somalia, Mali and are at work in Nigeria, Kenya and moving surreptitiously to Cameroon, South Africa and generally, plans have been concluded to destabilize the whole of Africa with Islamism as was the case in the 7th Century during the invasion of Africa by the Arabs!
Let countries like Ghana, South Africa and other African nations keep sleeping. There is heavy money to carry out this plot and the sooner African leaders wake up to drive back the forces of Islamism the better. Unknown to them, the jihadis are crisscrossing African borders plotting the destabilization of the continent using foolish young Africans – the Nigerian borders North, East, South, West as ever remain very porous such that you could steal a leviathan or an elephant and walk pass with these gargantuan creatures, whilst security personnel are busy collecting their ‘entitlements’ as terrorists come in day and night in all shades and guises – clergy, clerics, imams, alfas, pregnant women, military personnel, traders, etc, thoroughly unawares of the international alliances of the jihadists , they (Nigerian military) who have politically brushed the police aside in the war on terror in Nigeria still using their worn out strategy of fighting the so-called insurgents, when in fact, they are faced with international terrorists!
Expectedly as the Nigerian authorities including their President and General Oyeabo Ihejirika (now potty Chief of the Defence Staff Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh) do not know their real enemies, the band of miscreants called terrorists and fellow Jihadi warriors from neighbouring countries come in and go out of Nigeria regaling in their bombing spree .
By the way how many times have President Jonathan and Ihejirika (now ACM Badeh) who have conspired to sideline the country's police in the war on terror been to the officers and men of the 7th Division on a “Thank You/Well Done Tour?”
Shame! Shame! Rather both of them have been indulging in the Lizard Syndrome of chest-beating and mouthing their so-called immeasurable successes in the war on terror in that country drawing cowardly and obscene claps from their alleluia bands.
