Region’s definitive Homeland Security Expo receives 178 exhibitors and 12 international delegations
The just concluded ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012 Expo ...of a truth, the sun ariseth in the East and setteth in the West!
The 2012 International Security and National Resilience Exhibition and Conference - ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012 successfully concluded on March 21, 2012 after attracting high-profile delegations, international and local media and a huge number of visitors and introducing advanced security technologies and solutions.
The 5th edition of the Middle East’s definitive homeland security (HLS) event was inaugurated on March 19, 2012 by H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It was attended by over 12 international delegations. Visitors and guests admired the displays of the latest solutions for Border and Transport Security; Intelligence and Threat Assessment; Critical Infrastructure Protection; Emergency Preparedness & Response; Counter Terrorism; and Resilience (Crisis Management) presented by over 178 exhibitors from more than 24 countries.
Many agreements were signed between major organizations and companies such as the UAE Ministry of Interior, Tawazun, Thales, IGG and Beretta Defense Technologies during ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012’s three-day run. Several cutting-edge technologies were also unveiled, including ‘Heropipe,’ the automatic fire extinguisher for UAE Civil Defence. Adding excitement to the show was the 2012 UAE Fire Fighting Competitions supported by UAE Civil Defence which pitted the country’s top fire fighters against each other in two grueling days of skill and endurance challenges.
A prominent part of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2012 was the ISNR 2012 Conference which gathered government officials from around the region as well as international HLS companies and experts to discuss major topics such as regional and global HLS cooperation, sea piracy, environmental terrorism, and the economic factors influencing security risks.
