London, UK and Dalian, China: Extending its reach into the Asian continent, the Tech Trailblazers have announced a new partnership with China-Axlr8r, China’s first mentorship-driven seed-funding startup program.
The Tech Trailblazers Awards is a global online awards community that both recognizes and rewards the top enterprise information technology startups from across the globe. Eight technology categories focus on big data, cloud, mobile, networking, security, storage, sustainable IT and virtualization technology, while a number of regional awards, such as Emerging Markets Trailblazers (for the BRICS region) and the Regional Trailblazers Cups, give Chinese startup hopefuls a trio of chances to be recognized as winning Tech Trailblazers.
As part of China-Axlr8r’s support of the Tech Trailblazers Awards, China-Axlr8r will offer the winner of the Asian-Pacific Trailblazers Cup a free place on their 2014 accelerator program (in accordance with China-Axlr8r entrance agreement and terms).
In addition to this prize, China-Axlr8r’s Todd Embley joins the Tech Trailblazers judging panel assessing startup entries that have qualified for free entry into the Asian-Pacific Trailblazers Cup.
Todd Embley said, “China-Axlr8r has made a name for itself as an innovator in the Chinese startup community, and that is underlined now as we integrate the Tech Trailblazers Awards model into our accelerator program to identify the region’s best social and enterprise technology startups.” He went on to say, “It has been tough sledding for Chinese startups to gain global recognition over the last four years. However, we are very confident that they have what it takes not only to compete, but to win, at the international level, and we are excited to help propel them there via amazing opportunities such as the Tech Trailblazers.”
Rose Ross, Founder and Chief Trailblazer, commented, “Strong regional partners like China-Axlr8r are essential for our global success. This year, with the partnership of China-Axlr8r coupled with the lure of the estimated million-dollar prize pot equivalent, we are expecting a deluge of Chinese and other Asian entrants. We are truly excited by the chance to welcome even more of the crème de la crème of Chinese enterprise tech startups to the Tech Trailblazers experience.”
Entrants from emerging markets, such as China, pay a flat fee of $50 to enter only the emerging markets category. Alternatively, if a Chinese startup also wants to enter a technology-specific category, entry to the emerging markets category is free of charge. However, the winning Emerging Markets Trailblazer will not be able to associate that award with any specific technology category, such as cloud or mobile.
The China-Axlr8r accelerator program is committed to helping entrepreneurs who are innovating at the cutting-edge of information technology to create successful start-up companies. Participating in the China-Axlr8r accelerator program gives startups enormous validation and access to the best, brightest, and most experienced network of mentors and alumni to help cultivate and understand every aspect of their business. They are brilliant entrepreneurs who understand the VC world upside down and will join the battle alongside you inside the startup trenches.
The program also provides the chance to pitch early stage investors during their Demo Day event, where the founders will take their products live and graduate through to raise another round of investment. They are the “Tech Top Gun” of accelerators, and only take the best of the best.
