Company offering affordable PCI compliance and comprehensive vulnerability scanning
LONDON: nCircle, the leader in information risk and security performance management solutions, has announced the integration of the nCircle Certified PCI Scan Service in the PureCloud security services platform. nCircle PureCloud users now have access to vulnerability scanning, web application scanning and automated PCI scanning in a single, easy-to-use solution that helps improve network security and achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The new PCI Scan Service enables smaller organisations and businesses to cost effectively achieve PCI compliance and improve network security.
With an average of 5,000 new vulnerabilities discovered each year, regular or continuous vulnerability scanning is an essential security best practice. Recent studies show that over 70% of security threats are directed at web applications due to the quantity and value of the information they contain, a problem that’s particularly acute for online merchants. nCircle has been a PCI Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) since 2007, and two of the three largest credit card brands driving the PCI Data Security Standard use nCircle to ensure security and compliance.
"nCircle continues to expand and innovate the PureCloud security services platform,” said Tim Erlin, director of IT security and risk strategy. “In combination with web application scanning and SmartScan, our PCI ASV scanning service makes our customers’ jobs easier.”
The nCircle PureCloud PCI Scan Service offers users an automated, PCI DSS-certified service that meets the rigorous internal and external vulnerability scanning requirements.
According to a recent report by Gartner analysts Tim Zimmerman and Danielle Young: “In addition to being understaffed in larger locations and absent in remote sites, SMB's IT metrics are being held to the same standard as those in larger organizations, because their users want the same breadth of technologies available in larger organizations. Although many network updates and new requirements are more technology-focused, business owners are asking IT to do more regarding regulations that affect the business.”*
nCircle PureCloud Small Business Compliance Package
Every business that accepts and stores credit card data must demonstrate compliance with PCI DSS, but the complexities of securing business networks present considerable challenges, especially for smaller businesses with limited IT resources. Many small-to-medium sized businesses are subject to multiple regulations such as PCI, HIPAA, and DPA.
As a result, nCircle is offering a PureCloud Small Business Compliance Package that provides five IPs of PCI scanning and five IPs of comprehensive vulnerability and web application scanning, enabling smaller organizations and businesses to achieve PCI compliance and, at the same time, improve network security.
The PCI Scan Service is part of the PureCloud security services platform that requires no hardware or software to be installed and managed. nCircle PureCloud dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of a wide range of security services, including vulnerability scanning, PCI scanning and web application scanning, making these practices easily accessible to small and medium businesses.
