Reading UK: Customers who attended the series of technology days at Norbain’s British Superbike hospitality facility have unanimously declared it to be a success. The four technology days, held on the Fridays of the race weekends throughout July – October, were designed to allow customers to view and discuss new technology with Norbain’s suppliers and account managers whilst experiencing the buzz of a race weekend with the Tyco Suzuki Superbike team.
All of the technology days were well attended, with Norbain keeping the events very informal. This helped ensure that attendees felt comfortable asking questions and discuss any potential future projects. To further enable this, attendees were split into smaller groups, each looked after by a different technology expert in the industry. Participating manufacturers included Tyco, Raytec, Videx, Elmdene, Arecont, D-Link, SSP and Vista.
The event was hosted in Norbain’s hospitality facility which was located in the heart of the pit lanes. Here, tours of the Tyco Suzuki Racing team garage were provided as they prepared for qualifying and race day. Attendees were granted almost unrestricted access as the team assembled the bikes and managed to grab some photos with the team riders, Josh Brookes and Alistair Seeley.
“The events allowed our customers to fully explore the latest technology available to them, within a relaxed and informal environment” says Gareth Ellams, Norbain’s Divisional Director of Access & Intruder. “Access to the Tyco Suzuki Racing team also provided an excellent backdrop for which to hold such events and as a result, we’re now looking to develop the format for the 2013 season.
