RosettaBooks’ ninth Kindle Single bestseller
New York, NY: RosettaBooks, the leading independent eBook publisher, has released another bestselling Kindle Single by world-renowned musician Jonathan Biss. A Pianist Under the Influence, which is about the effect 19th century composer Schumann has had on Biss’s life, recently appeared on the Kindle Single Best Sellers List. Out of ten RosettaBooks’ Singles, this is the ninth to reach bestselling status.
A Pianist Under the Influence climbed to the top five list in four short days.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Jonathan Biss for yet another successful Kindle Single,” said RosettaBooks CEO Arthur Klebanoff.
The Single’s success reflects Biss’s achievements as both a pianist and writer, following Beethoven’s Shadow, which has been a bestseller since its release by RosettaBooks in December 2011.
Biss writes, “The realization has only come gradually that most of what I know about myself, I have learned from playing Schumann.” A thoughtful piece on what makes a musician and how the past can transfuse the present, the prose reads like a love letter.
The eBook kicks off a concert tour beginning October 4 in San Francisco. Arranged by Biss, the concerts will feature pieces by Schumann, those who influenced him, and those whom he influenced.
