Rolling Meadows, IL, USA: 2013 has been declared the year of the hybrid cloud and the year of the hack. To help enterprises prepare, ISACA, a global association of 100,000 IT professionals, is hosting a free virtual conference, titled Enterprise Risk Management: Provide Security from Cyberthreats, on Tuesday, 19 March 2013, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. CDT (UTC-5).

Experts presenting at this virtual conference will provide practical actions for users and suppliers. Sessions include:

· Don’t Gamble With Your Data: Five Absolutely Critical Questions for Data Security in the Cloud, presented by Shawn Swanson, of eVault

· Building a Cloud-Ready Security Program, presented by Renee Bradshaw, of NetIQ

· Emerging Trends in Cybersecurity and Risk Management, presented by Urs Fischer, CISA, CRISC, of Fischer IT GRC Beratung & Schulung

· Cyberthreats and Cyberrisk Management in Today’s World, presented by Leighton Johnson, CISA, CISM, CRISC, of Information Security Forensics Management Team

Attendees will learn how to protect sensitive assets in the cloud, how to defend against techniques of the modern hacker, and how to choose cloud services wisely.

A spotlight session will be presented by ISACA Director Jo Stewart-Rattray, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, FACS CP, of BRM Holdich, who will discuss the findings of ISACA’s recent advanced persistent threat (APT) survey titled Advanced Persistent Threat Awareness: Study Results. The global cybersecurity survey of more than 1,500 security professionals found that more than one in five respondents said their enterprise has experienced an advanced persistent threat (APT) attack. More than 60 percent of survey respondents say that it’s only a matter of time before their enterprise is targeted.

“We are excited to offer this virtual conference to provide critical guidance on issues affecting enterprises around the world right now,” said Greg Grocholski, CISA, international president of ISACA and global business finance director for the Ventures and Business Development unit within The Dow Chemical Company. “2013 has been termed the year of the hybrid cloud, and attendees will learn how to help their organizations increase the ROI of their cloud initiatives, choose cloud services wisely and protect their information and systems.
