Woking, Surrey: After an incredibly successful 2014, and being named Woking’s ‘Most Successful Company’ in February 2015, Wick Hill has gained two further, recent notable successes. It has been identified as one of the London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to inspire Britain’ and has also won Network Computing’s ‘Distributor of the Year’ award.
The London Stock Exchange Group accolade is awarded to some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.
To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman Wick Hill Group, commented: “It’s very satisfying to get recognition, from such a prestigious organisation as the London Stock Exchange, that we are now one the most successful medium-sized enterprises in the country. It’s a tribute to all the extremely hard work of Wick Hill’s staff in the last few years.”
The Network Computing ‘Distributor of the Year’ award makes it eight times that Wick Hill has won a Network Computing award. Several Wick Hill vendors have also been frequent award winners and this year’s vendor winners include WatchGuard (taking both ‘Hardware Product of the Year ‘and ‘Company of the Year’) and Check Point (‘Security Product of the Year’).
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman Wick Hill Group, commented: “Winning the Network Computing award is especially gratifying as it is voted for by the magazine’s readers, so it is an indication that we are delivering the levels of service that our customers need. I’m also pleased to see much deserved awards for our vendor partners WatchGuard and Check Point, for excellent products which are also clearly meeting end-user needs.”
