On 27 October, the Sentinel (also known as the Airborne Stand-Off Reconnaissance or ASTOR system) achieved 300 operational sorties over Afghanistan since initial deployment with the U.K. Royal Air Force (RAF) in 2009.
Additionally, the RAF recently highlighted the Sentinel (ASTOR) achievements as part of an operational update. The RAF have cited the programme's recent involvement in helping save U.K. ground forces lives.
