At long last, the long arm of the law has caught up with three further men arrested and charged by the police in connection with the disorder seen in central London on 24 November 2010.
Twins [63] Jamie and [64] Michael Crockett, aged 18 years, both students from Wadham Rd E1, and [47] Aidan Hayde, also aged 18 years, a student from Stanway Close, Chigwell, Essex, were all arrested on 15 February and subsequently charged with criminal damage and breach of bail.
The three arraigned yesterday morning (Wednesday 16 February) at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court in connection with the breach of bail and have been bailed to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 28 March re the criminal damage.
[47] Aidan Hayde was arrested earlier on in the inquiry on suspicion of criminal damage and bailed. Whilst officers conducted further inquiries, he and the Crockett twins were subsequently re-arrested on 15 February for breach of bail relating to a separate British Transport Police matter. All were subsequently charged with both this and the criminal damage offence.
A fourth man, 18 years ['Arrest 65'], also arrested on 15 February in connection with criminal damage was taken into custody and later bailed to return pending further inquiries. He is next due on an unspecified future date.
Vigilance learnt that there have now been a total of 65 arrests in connection with this inquiry.
