With launch of new products, Opengear now has most diverse Console Server product line
Vigilance can report that Opengear, provider of next generation console server and remote management solutions, has launched a new line of 32 port units. The ten new 32 port units give Opengear more than 100 different products available, more than any other console server manufacturer.
“There is no one-size-fits-all requirement with IT executives and data center managers. Nobody wants to buy a product that doesn’t fit their exact specifications, but sometimes they are forced to because vendors don’t have products that fit their needs,” said Bob Waldie, CEO of Opengear. “Our open source platform and customer driven product development enables us to create and manufacture a wide range of products to specifically fit our customers’ requirements.”
A few highlights:
- Opengear is announcing the new line of 32 port units for its Opengear IM4200 and Opengear CM4000 product families, including two new GSM and CDMA cellular smart routers.

- Opengear now has more than 100 different products available. This is up from 23 in 2008.
