- Deadline for organisations to sign up to participate is 30th September 2011
Following the publication of the report on ‘Business Assurance for the 21st Century’ by a consortium of leading information security organisations, the Steering Group for this global collaborative project are providing the opportunity for other organisations and associations to participate in the development of a design and implementation plan for the creation of a global repository of assurance maturity scores. The plan would include the governance of a global repository and implementation activities.
Raj Samani, Founder CAMM, commented: ”The project will result in the development of a global repository that will enable organizations to advertise their information assurance maturity for the services they provide. Such an approach would make it easier for potential customers of these services to select suppliers and partners based on the maturity of their information assurance practices. Any organisations with an interest in information assurance, and the provision of a transparent service to end customers can contribute to this effort.”
The business assurance paper received support from representatives from the following associations: The Shared Assessments Program; Cloud Security Alliance (CSA); Common Assurance Maturity Model (CAMM); Information Security Forum (ISF); Payment Card Industry (PCI); Shared Cloud Industry Forum, and ISACA.
Participant organisations that join the project group will have a direct input on the development of a document to describe the governance over the global repository and a project plan for the implementation of the repository. There is no charge for participation in the project, and participation in the group is entirely voluntary.
Organisations that are interested in participating should email their organisations name, a summary of their organisation and their contact details to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by the 30 September 2011.
