“Talking to blood - thirsty tyrants like President Bashar al-Assad of Syria is like talking to the deaf. Blood hounds like Assad just don’t get it as they like to be handled with iron hands. Perhaps, Assad will get the message when he sees ‘iron birds’ flying from the West and raining one or two bullets on him and his sanguinary cohorts in their comfort zones.
Assad had better phone ‘His Royal Highness’ monster Muammar Muhammad al-Gadaffi to enquire from him whether such hail of bullets from the West’s ‘iron birds’ are pleasant or not.
Anyway, Foreign Secretary William Hague, not one to give up, especially where lives and freedom of persons are involved, has sent yet another strongly worded message to Assad, the Demon of Syria urging him to do what is right: “Reform or go!”
Hague who was speaking about the reports of a violent crackdown by the Syrian regime in Hama, said: “Violent repression in Hama will only further undermine the regime’s legitimacy and raise serious questions about whether it is committed to the reforms it has recently announced. No meaningful political dialogue can take place while there is a brutal military crackdown.”
Warning for the umpteenth time, Secretary Hague said: “The UK has made clear that President Assad must reform or step aside. If the regime continues to choose the path of brutal repression, pressure from the international community will only increase.”
