Security Officers' Forum

Print

Vigilance Security Forum Aims to provide an interactive platform for all SIA licensed persons whether they be security guards; door supervisors; vehicle immobilizers; CCTV operators, close protection officers; loss prevention officers, etc,  employed  in the core security sector by the security companies and such other officers /persons who have been duly vetted and so licensed by the Security Industry Authority, but are now employed directly by other sectors, organisations, government departments/agencies, holders of the SIA badge who are self-employed, civil enforcement officers, etc.

OBJECTIVES

To enable security officers share experiences with each other; write about the challenges they face daily in this risk-prone profession; report all forms of discriminations and workplace bullying, discuss and debate the insulting and embarrassing low wages pervasive in the industry; discuss the issue of standing long hours and the health implications of such; discuss issues of promotions; training and re-training/development; report indiscriminate termination of employment which often disregards employment laws’ laid down procedures; advertise their services by posting their CVs/covering letters on Vigilance for employment purposes; comment and suggest ways we can improve Vigilance; provide useful information that will be beneficial to all security officers; publish officers’/their families’ birthdays, weddings, wedding anniversaries, naming ceremonies, promotions, christening of their children and other special occasions/events for a token.
