To enter, individuals simply need to visit www.powerplayers.uk.com and submit a short video highlighting their innovative or inspirational work. There is no need for video production skills – videos can be created on a smartphone or tablet.
Anyone working for the following types of organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, within the engineering services sector, can enter Power Players:
· Clients and specifiers (e.g. facilities managers, local authorities, housing associations etc.)
· Consultants and designers
· Engineering firms
· Installers and contractors
· Manufacturers and distributors
· Training providers, educators and colleges.
ECA CEO Steve Bratt said: “Power Players is a genuinely industry-wide initiative, and we want to hear from anyone whose work demonstrates leadership, collaboration, innovation, or has impacted industry or society in a positive way. There are just two weeks to go to submit your entry, so please visit www.powerplayers.uk.com today for a chance to win host of top prizes and recognition for yourself and your organisation.”
The top five shortlisted entries will be showcased on 6-7 September during the ED&I Expo – a major new industry event being held at the NEC in Birmingham.
There are a range of top-quality prizes and recognition for the leading Power Players, including a business and networking trip to the USA worth thousands of pounds, and lunch with business guru Sir John Parker, who is the incoming chair of construction firm Laing O’Rourke. There will also be positive industry recognition for the businesses which the leading individuals work for.
